Stone chips in paintwork!!!
Does anybody know the best way to get rid of stonechips in the paintwork (without a respray) - I seem to have shedloads on my bonnet and they really spoil the party - especially when you spend sooo long cleaning and polishing and they just show up even more. Any tips guys and gals?

Zed no more
I would agree with the above, i had a side on impact years ago, and it definitely compounded my general back probs (rugby induced) Some spinal misalignments can be very subtle, but very damaging if left to impact on other parts of your back etc, so i would go and see a McTimoney chiropractor (one that doesn't crack and crunch your back) just so see what they are saying - if your all good then its 30 quid for a check up and good massage if not then you can do what Virus says and get the insurance to pay for a few sessions to sort it out. All legal like

which wire is which?
Well i took off the other door card and removed the speaker - and that one had not blown so i could see the positive/negative markers. Just for those who may be interested it was the brown and black wire which was positive. New speakers in - sounds much better, i can actually turn the tunes up now..:hyper::dance::hyper::dance:

which wire is which?
Right - the two wires do have a bit of colour distinction: the one with the copper end is brown/black the one with the silver end is just a lighter brown.

which wire is which?
I just removed the original speakers (90 jap tt import) to swap speakers. The plug has obviously blown or something in the past (see pic) The black housing clip of the wires had no indication as to positive/negative I removed the plastic leaving two wires (other pic) They don't really have much of a colour distinction either (both a burnt brown!) Question is how do i know which is which? I want to connect new speakers without breaking anything Anyone know how i can tell?

What do you reckon on these?
woman at work has a skoda VTRS or something - its proper quick - nice motor

What do you reckon on these?
My old man's got one of these - SL600 V12 - no difference between that and the 500 really only a tiny bit off the 0-60 - it is an awful lot of car for the money - these weren't far off a 100K when new. Only problem is - typical merc "it just feels a bit flat" says my dad. even when your flying it doesn't feel that fast. but maybe that is a sign of quality? but i agree when they are tidy, a nice set of wheels make these look lush. Great interior - proper sturdy and you can still smell the leather in dads.

Whole heartedly agree, i went there today and was met with really friendly staff, great service and as much coffee as i could drink. I will definitely be going back at the end of the month when i get paid. It was definitely worth the drive, and i think i'll be going there for all my Zed needs in the future.

Quite pleased with myself
As above, i am quite pleased with myself. Having no experience in car maintenance, I managed to swap out the rear speaker housing brackets (having to remove all the boot trim) and put in a couple of custom built ones which mean i now have bigger speakers in the back, without losing any boot space.. :D I also swapped out the old broken aerial with a new one, so now i get proper radio reception. And.. i only had time for one, but i managed to take off the passenger door card and changed the speaker up there as well. Next on the list is the other door, and then the steering wheel, but i have to go to work now so some other time. Thanks to all you who have given me the advice i needed. I've got a trip to Zworld tomorrow to see Jeff and have a checkup.
