Why am I getting such poor MPG in my diesel?
Dont worry, I have a brand new Insignia diesel and its only managing 35 mpg, not the 54 that the dealer said I should be getting. Its been back seven times so far and had new tyres, brakes and brake discs after 4800 miles and is still no better. I think its just because its a Vauxhall ???

Hi folks, I have three cars needing paint jobs and my usual spray guy has retired so I have a problem. Does anyone know a good painter at reasonable money in the South Yorkshire area???????? Must be able to do specialist work though, ta.

Schools intervention
My kids diner hour has been cut to 45 mins because they are too hyper when they get back to class, which means 350 kids queue for food at 12pm and the last one served has around 3 mins to eat then no play time just back to class. We used to send packed lunch but then we had a memo that all packed lunches were to back checked so that no child had better than the next and that no sugary, or fatty foods were allowed. We are now at a new school which she loves that are a lot more sensible.

Tax advice
Us at the tax office have been told that no one is to get any monies for the next twelve weeks, as we have all been put on to postal duties, because there is a back log of paper work for six months. This means that even if you are owed money it will be held up for the longest time possible so that the present people in power will gain over ten million in intrest in this period. Also any claim under five thousand is being let slip through to speed up the process, and only one claim in one thousand is being investigated at the moment so I'd give the ball a kick anyhow, its not my money.

ten year old bmw or merc?
Just sold a CLK 230 Kompressor, 63k miles for £3k. Cruised well but wobbled a lot at speed. Mates got a 200 Kompressor auto and its slower than my deisel Insignia, and corners worse. Did use to get 32mpg though.

BMW 850 or MR2
The SLK I just bought needs a bonnet and two air bags, £2000 for car, then about £850 to repair. Perfect for a quiet life from the wife, hoping its worth £4k or more. Ive had a 850 and there great, but i'd say around £1800 for a good repair, only buy it if its a boyhood dream. The mk1 MR2's I think are a bit marmite, and cheap at half the price, okay for a track toy and leave it as it is.
