  1. I have a Fireblade and an SV1000 at the minute, but I had an R1 that I dropped and damaged the fairing. I hired a plastic welder for the day that I had never used before, but managed to weld everything back together then with a bit of filling sanding and paint as good as new. Other option is to buy some race fairings that are quite cheap
  2. Bikers are a great group, at Sherburn you get around 1000 riders out on a wednesday night in good weather, but the next thing you get is that you need more power, then more power, very adictive and your cheeks ache from smiling at one end and car drivers at the other, enjoy and have some good safe fun.
  3. I'm lucky the VIC station is 1 mile down the road and have taken three cars there with panel damage, not repaired though, usually takes around ten mniutes, they say yes its roadworthy and they give you a piece of paper and on your way.
  4. He's sandblasting with second hand sand, not fresh. This leaves tiny particles of metal in the sand and if you dont clean down proper afterwards the metal stays on the product and when the powder is sprayed it covers them. Then when they go in the oven they over heat and pop because they are so small which creates little exploded bubble marks in the finish.
  5. Well near death experience was just about to load the daughter and grand kids in her car and an idiot in a Vectra comes flying around the corner flat out spinning round the corner and totals her Mondeo. Lucky the wife knocked her out of the way and I had the grand kids picked up out of the snow so all is well, just another insurance claim to deal with.
  6. Biker babe doing boring F1, it's the start of a slippery slope, go back to the gadget show or Motogp.
  7. Shot one this morning but we have got twenty chickens that they try to steal from.
  8. My tax ran out 03/06, but in storage before while I built the house, still starts when ever I connect the battery though so no reason to get rid yet :-) even on petrol from 2005.
  9. The wife has just arrived home to tell me she has just been stopped doing 52mph in a 30mph limit. The officer was on a motorcycle and had given her a stern talking to that had brought her to tears. The next comment was that she must not do this again and if he had not reached his "Quota" already this week then she would have been in serious trouble. Is it that she's a woman or do the police have a quota of say 10 speeders a day, or 20 offences a week to catch ??????? If it was me I'm sure it would be crush the car and lock him away for the year, 52mph in a 30mph area, she is a disgrace :glare::glare::glare:

  12. My eldest have both left home at 21 and 22, but I have a ten year old nightmare that worse than the others left, born with a multitude of sins. This is what worries me when they go out now though.
  13. Just wondered if anyone had built, or knows of a kit car around a 300zx engine, running gear etc? I have a spare NA auto and rather than spend money on body work I wondered if it could be a donor for a kit as the engine and gear box are mint with only around 56000 kilometers on the clock. Pic,s or leads welcome
