  6. I know there are a couple of MOT testers on the site. could you please Pm your Number so i can ring you if you don't mind. Need some advice  thanks graeme
  7. but if you got the insurance on your mums card there there will be intrest to pay on what you paid too
  8. thanks Brian, i had heard the same. Hopfully if there seized after the pads or taken out ill put a piece of wood in to the calipers leaving just one piston out and hopefully have them all loose that way.
  9. Just a quick thanks to Chris and his team at Z-Tech for doing my engine re-build, Which he took on from when Ryan sold him the buissness. I was kept informed all the way through the build of what was being done. And when i started her up wow nice sound  There is still some work to be done on the car but most of that i can do myself under there guidance. A top team who had some difficult times to start and are having to move buildings again. But i will definatly be using Z=Tech again
  10. lol Ivan i'm trying too, and i was all set to be on the road this weekend but the MOT man had other ideas, ah well i've not really had the car now for the last 3 years so a couple more months won't hurt lol. Oh and do sell the pistons for £12 each and if not in stock they take about 5 days to sort out
  11. thanks for that lads. hopefull that should save me abit on money if i do thise myself. the cars been off the road too long now and the Mot was the final straw, as all the jobs that needed do will be about 1200, but if i do as many of them as i can then i should be able to more than half the bill, as i have too much money in it now to throw in the towel and scrap it .
  12. Thanks for your replies guys Joel i was thinking P+P etc din't really look at full costs lol thanks mark for pointer as for the full kit aswell as i'm not sure what i'll need until i get them home and apart
  13. Thanks for that Joel. so 60quid for the kit and the blood and sweat i'll give for free lol. Is it a different kit for the TT and the N/a or are they the same, as there is only one kit on there web site. thanks again graeme
  14. Has any body refubered there brakes and how much is the kit? can they be done off the car. ie how hard is it to get the pistons out if siezed. any help would be gratfull as i need to sort the brakes out for mot and hoping to save on garage labour charges thanks graeme
  15. as said above. really hope that they can do something for your little lad, your not that far away(whitchurch aint it ?), if theres anything we can do let us know. graeme
  16. thanks for the replies. I've just come off the phone to Chris, He rung me to let me know what was going on and one of his mechanic's specialises in hydrolic's etc and we hope that i can go down there to do most of the work under his watch full eye  As i've said before. I can not fault chris and his team and he has always kept me informed of the progress on my car since taking over the business. I know this was afew months ago and most would of wanted there car doing straight away, but He didn't have to take on the re-build that the new  engine needed so i felt it was by no means fair to be saying i want it doing now if you know what in mean, I even told him to do other paying jobs before mine as he was doing it under the old Z-tech warranty at no cost to me.
  17. Si they failed both front + rears underneath the car over the axle's and pipes going into the calipers, due to the length of time it's been stood, My own fault i supose for just letting Ryan do the job or not at his own speed in stead of going on at him to get it done. like I said it was back in 2004 i first took the car down there and not had a full summer season drive out of it yet. Prob spend about two years or more sat outside his work shop. But i really want to say that this has Nothing to do with the new own of Z-tech who has helped out in getting my car back to almost lol an on the road state.
  18. Red H6 *** seen twice. once on the A483 toward Oswestry. about 15.30 ish then at the roundabout for Mold off the A483 at about 18.00. Was really shiney and looked a really good example
  19. So about £1000 to sort it out then. Any body got any ideas, could flexi braided hose be used for the hard to get too areas other than striping it all off and just use the solid pipe for the length of the car ??,....
  20. Not going in to loads of detail, But i took my car to Z-tech about 3half years ago for an uprated engine fitting, which had to go back to be re-done due to massive oil useage :( which it stood again since Feb of last year till just after Chris took over the company. Chris honoured the the work and has re-built my engine for me and took it in for MOT which it failed  main thing is the brake pipes need replacing plus a couple of small jobs too. i just feel like putting the fooking thing through a crushed I tell ya, As i know this isn't a small or cheap job to do. Also found out that my gear box is on it's way out, which is a new one that i was told i needed by ryan because my old one was fooked So £800 later and it seems no new box was fitted. Non of this is a go at chris at all, he's been a top bloke with me, And if i do keep the thing i will carry on using him, but at the mo i couldn't give a flying f**k about it Does anybody have any idea what sort of price I'm looking at to get the lines done, Sounds like it's all of them full lenght of the car :headvswal thanks graeme
