  1. Apart from my silver zed, the merc clk gtr is another favorite of mine :batman:
  2. That exacly why I started the thread mate, I am not bothered at all if i sell any brackets, Its my safety,my passengers the public and any other people who have these type of brackets attached to their cars, My question is not aimed solely at the strength of MY bracket but every bracket out there, wether its a 1 piece cast aluminium, or a welded section! do we think the forces put on them are too much ? should we leave the stock caliper on or buy the proper upgraded one`s designed especially for our cars?
  3. :tt2::tt2::tt2: I know, I`ve ruined it :cursing:
  4. Thats been my thought all along! they cant move anywhere:cool3:
  5. Spot on mate, glad you like them, yes bud let us know how you get on, I would like the one`s on my car tested too, and will get some 1 piece made up if they are poor :thumbup:
  6. I actually reckon the lugs on the hub would snap before the brackets give way, IMO, IMO, Dont shoot me down!! :whistling:
  7. My mate did actually quote me about £300 to get the ones mentioned in 1 piece! I think to be on the safe side i will get some made, If you could let us know what they are made of Jimmy and i will get some fabricated. Nice brackets by the way :bow:
  8. Interesting read, we learn something every day, Thanks :thumbup1:
  9. Yeh top words too Stellaz, the dimentions are on the forum for anyone to copy. I wonder if anything did happen that our insurance could be invalid? I know you are not trying to knock me bud, I am just too honest and helpfull for my own good sometimes, Its actually cost me money and time to organise these brackets only to be shot down in flames :hang:
  10. Another question, ? would it be a better job if the calipers themselves had an extension piece welded on to it rather than a bracket? just a thought :turned:
  11. Chers mate, at the moment they are not for sale, How could we test them? I was hoping for more of a technical responce from peeps like how they could break/ fall off/ be tested? I am worried myself and wont use my car until we think they are safe :cool3:
  12. I`m looking for the 300zx Lemans edition in 1/18 scale, Ive only ever seen it in 1/24 and more :huh: lovely car, i would love a real one!!!
  13. Good point, I`m not really trying to reassue people to buy a bracket i have just copied from someone else, I am trying to discover if the whole concept of the bracket and mounting positions are under that much force that something could give way.
  14. I dont know who fabricated the ones attached to my car, thats why I`m worried now
  15. Bloody hell, I have never seen a 300zx golf ball :gunsmilie:
