I did tuition at Thruxton this year and Castle Coombe last year.. really good.. The most important skill is keeping the car balanced... and understanding the racing line through the bends. Only then can you build up your speed.... I drove the Porsche 997 Turbo, Ferrari F355 and Formula Renault (i think) and a Mazda RX8 .. all for about £240 I think.

Parked in Bristol at 9am on saturday morning and was gone for 1 hr... came back and saw some red stuff on the floor... I thought, hmm thats strange, only to find out that some w anchor had vandalised my car... :rant: :rant: They have scratched about 2 square inches of paint off my front wing with a penknife or something. So anyone got a passenger front wing in red (AG2) for sale - might be cheaper than a respray!

:nono: :nono: Just bought a set of aloys with these tyres on... poor grip compared to my original Bridgestones... With the new tyres, the wheels spin in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears under full acceleration!! Scary as hell. Will get these changed to something better... Soon. I would advise not to buy these for a high performance car..

I had a similar problem and it was a seized air compressor, the belts were smoking! This caused the smoke to rise from the offside wheel arch... worth a look?

As above I need some advice from you guys :bow: I am in the market for a set of alloys for my SWB TT Z. I finally decided on a set of 18"s. I asked for 8.5 width on the front and a 9.5 width on the back with corresponding tyres. The shop has advised to stick with 8.5's all round and just put a larger tyre on the back... Thoughts?

If you have, can you give me your thoughts please? I know the engine is based on a Ford Duratec with a couple of turbos bolted on - but is it as good as all the reports make it out to be. 0-60 in under 4 seconds - but do you get a kit car feel? My advice - buy a good one (which doesnt necessarily mean you have to spend big bucks) - get one checked over by one of the more technical guys on this forum before buying. Common problems I have had with the 3 zeds I've owned are: Vibrating propshaft on both the 2+2's I've had. (SWB 2-seaters dont seem to suffer this) Speed sensor problems Dodgy speedo Rust on rear arches Idling problems Make sure these things are ok... I insure my Twin turbo on a classic policy (2nd car) for £200 a year plus breakdown cover.. Go for it!
