Anyone work in the telecoms industry?
BT should already offer you broadband, unless you're somewhere in the deep countryside, miles from your nearest exchange. But, to answer your question, 21CN won't have much of an impact for a while; initially it's just going to increase network capacity - a bit like the change from analogue to digital TV. About the best the consumer can expect near-term is access to ADSL2+ with 'up to' 24Mb/s (Already available from other ISPs like 'Be', anyway) What's your current broadband setup?

Oh dear
I don't think a 'name and shame' on the basis of one instance is really fair; the info will find its way out in the end and people will be able to compare stories about the garage. If they find they're all getting shoddy treatment, well, then a name might be in the public interest.

I think I'll stick to something a little more ordinary, like Zillit Bang! The car's going down to D2 tomorrow for a full diagnosis. I dread to think what the verdict is going to be

Cheers :)- Thanks to D2
Could someone drop meD2s contact details, please? Yassa (both big and small) was singing their praises this afternoon at the Halfway House meet, and my Zed is need of some serious TLC. cheers Chris- strikes me as being odd
I'd say it's because we don't know what we're doing! :) (And we don't have 4.5K to spare!!!) I think the other thing is that most of the cars here have been modded to their current owners' tastes - as you already pointed out - and half the fun is making something to your own spec. Perhaps once you've done the whole rebuild thing, as you have, there is less incentive to do it all over again. After all, once you get your 10K beauty, what are you going to do with it? for that amount of money, you must think it's damn near perfect :D- Hi Everybody
If I'd realised the state of what I've bought and how much I'm gonna end up spending, I probably would have thought harder about some of the cars on offer here. Stellaz looks rather nice :)- Hi Everybody
I think I have several other problems to sort before getting new clothes:(- put your names down for the 3rd may halfway house meet
Hi, I've just joined the forum, I'd like to come, too - if you promise not to laugh at my zed. I only bought it last week and it needs LOTS of work. I could use some experienced input as to where to start (or if I should just junk it!) Chris- Hi Everybody
Any helpful hints on where to start looking? And can anyone recommend a good mechanic in east london?- Hi Everybody
Bugger, that's what I was afraid of.- Hi Everybody
Hi, just got myself a 'bargain' Z32 from ebay. yup, I'm a mug, I know, but it only cost me a grand for a stock '93 UK TT. and now I have ideas as to why - lots and lots of rust. and a load of other stuff that I'll have to sort out. Total noob question for starters: is the boost supposed to stay constant, or is it meant to drop back? I've been driving the zed a bit carefully until I get its full measure (and know nothing is likely to drop off, explode or otherwise scare the shit out of me!), so I haven't really opened it up for long, but what I see is that the boost will hit round about 10psi, then drop back to zero and below as I reach "cough" 70mph on the motorway. Chris - Thanks to D2
