Oh nooo! Mechanics please help :'(
I would ask the "mechanic" to clean out the Oil Sending Unit and make real sure he has not crossed up the injector wiring by doing a balance test. If you had the oil pressure before , no reason for it to die on you. It is real easy to cross the 3 and 4 injector feeds from the wiring harness.

The ECU is probably trying to relearn. It may take 3-4 times before it gets over not having any power for a week or so.

A little info on the poly nuts for you Nick. http://www.pontiacstreetperformance.com/psp/rockers.html http://www.pontiaction.com/tech-talk/engine/how-to-adjust-rocker-arms.html http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/vintage-mustang-forum/348301-there-any-tricks-poly-lock-rocker-stud-nuts.html Do not want to see you give up , hope this helps you. The Poly Nuts can be a PITA , did not know you were using that type.

The rocker arm issue is not unusual for rebuilt heads on a fresh motor Nick. Google Summit Racing and get yourself a set of "jamb" or the new pinch type nuts. This is from a forum I frequent: http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/tech-general-engine/573572-rocker-arms-keep-coming.html Read all the way thru it before you scrap the Z. No way in hell I would give up on this project. I know I wont when I start my Bowtie swap. Your started after all the months of starting and starting could just be finally going out. Read thru that post and see if it gives you some ideas. Cheers Mate

.60 overbore , stroked , 10.5 compression , mild cam Nick? That 320hp at the crank seems a little low. I was expecting you to turn around 360 at the wheels easily. The 420tq seems right on with your build. Still got to be a lot of fun tho.

as simple as it seems?
True. Good point. I have only one station in my area that is ethanol free and he evidently is proud to offer the 93 octane without it....$4.08 a gallon , I know , I know. Simon has already scolded me on what you guys have to pay. Still here its over $1.40 a gallon more than last summer.

Uncommon fuel smell situation
If you are getting the smell when the heat/air is on and nothing is leaking under the hood.....When you turn the fan blower on without the "fresh air" coming in..you are pulling a small "vacuum" in the interior. That will pull the gas smell from the tank area..especially in the rear seat area where the kids are.

Went for a little drive today.....
5 years? Mate , I would be hopping happy too!

Uncommon fuel smell situation
I would pull the covers where the fuel tank is and check the hoses coming out of the tank.

Intermittely , I'm of the mind the injector is starting to fail. Ohm it out and see what you have. My Z has pulled the same thing twice now and both time it was the injector. Would not hurt at all to clean all the connections and put some dielectric grease on them to keep the moisture out.

My adjustable upper links........
I could live with that alignment. What I think I am going to do is take my adjustable FUCA's off and measure the difference between them and my stock ones and adjust my holes in the braket accordinally. Weld up a couple of plates on the outside and redrill only one set of holes. If I need a little less camber I can always add a hardened steel spacer. I would gain a little softer ride + feel a lot safer with Nissans original stuff. Between the mountain passes and track days I dont think I will see anymore unsual wear than I have now. Im glad you did this , I had been thinking about it for a while...not very well recieved by the forum btw. LOL , their loss. Good job Mate.!
