Hi all, My company have recently installed Forti Guard and blocked loads of websites like file sharing etc. I used to be able to bypass it by using another proxy server, but they've now caught on and banned loads of them. Does anyone know of a way of getting around the FortiGuard security? Cheers

Hi there, I think that I've got a problem with my starter motor as just getting clicking noise when trying to turn it over. Checked battery at first but its not that. Now in the past with other cars, I've just given the starter motor a tap with a hammer and then all is well, but on the Z I have no idea where it is let alone whether I can get to it at all. Where is it, can I get to hit it and if needs replacing, are they expensive and much labour to fit? Cheers

Hi there, I've had my car serviced in the past firstly by Ztech, then SWZ and only for oil changes to Nissan, but now that Ztech has changed hands, I'm not sure if they are up and running properly as yet, and SWZ website is no longer up and running, well it wasn't yesterday, but where else can I get my Z serviced as dont want to take to Nissan? I am in the Reading area so south east as such but dont mind travelling abit though if service is good. Cheers

Yeah I took the car to Paul at SWZ for a service and asked him about excess smoke out the exhausts and he confirmed that one of the turbos had a seal that was leaking, therefore causing smoke to come out when its been idling for a while.

Thanks Mark, I was going to get 2 brand new standard turbos from http://www.conceptzperformance.com/, but you've given me some more options now. I am though, only looking at spending up to 1.5K though and would prefer brand new so will probably at that price have to go for standard turbos, but I shall check out these other companies as well. The turbo seal has gone on one of my turbos and is leaking oil which makes some excess smoke come out of the exhaust. So I was going to replace them probably with standard ones as I cant afford upgrades at the moment, but what else would I need when replacing them? Do I need some gasket kit etc? Thanks

Can a leaking rear seal on a turbo cause the Co emissions to go high during an MOT?. The exhausts produce some blue smoke because of this when idling for a while and was wondering whether the leaking oil from turbo could mix with the normal gases coming out of exhausts to give high Co readings.

Yeah the MOT place that passed me, got me to rev it to 2000rpm for about a minute and that then cleared it and passed emissions test. You are probably right as well about Nissans, I think I'll avoid them in the future as this is not the 1st time they've messed me around with false information.

Well yesterday I took my car for an MOT at Nissans and this is where it failed. I wasn't convinced by the failure as I've never seen blue smoke before when idling, yes I've had abit of smoke when idling for along time in a traffic jam, but it goes away after the traffic clears and I get going again. Anyway, today I took it for a good rip and then took it to another place and it passed without problems, but obviously there is a problem and maybe Nissan were just being abit too fussy I dont know, but maybe its the PVC valves as stated.

Just been told that the Zed has failed its MOT. Apparently it was giving out dense blue smoke when idling and so it failed the emissions test. Any ideas on what can cause this, is it serious or could be? Cheers

The only problem with protecting your no claims, is that even though you'll still have your full no claims allocation after a prang, your current or another insurance company ask at renewal time whether you've had a claim in the past 3 to 5 years. So you say yes and they'll base the new quote on the fact that you've had a mash and wont really take much into account of your full no claims bonus, well thats what I've found out in the past anyway.

No its not lowered and yes, their does seem to be some big price differences, so what other place apart from Kwit-Fit will do this at a decent price?.

Hi there, Just got 2 new tyres fitted today 235/45 R17, fitted them no problem, I wanted the tracking done because they had gone on the inside, but they told me that because its an import, that they cant do it, which I thought was rubbish. Started going on about the fact that Nissan never released the details for this etc etc, but surely any place should be able to do tracking, even though they are not standard sized wheels or tyres?. Any comments?
