i understand things go wrong on cars and mine was a dog fine engine but electrical gremlins then found my warranty wasnt worth the paper it was written on at present i own a 53 plate scooby sti but still long after another Zed as they drive properly and are more fun than the point and shoot scooby just wanted 1 with receipts i can check and view and test drive properly :cry: i miss my zed :cry:

after much deliberation i have decided to purchase another zx turbo with this in mind i would like to purchase off a member as my last car was from a dealer in the midlands who ripped me off big time as i dont want another car that i love to bits but is a money pit i wanted to view cars on here that are for sale but i cannot this isnt helping in my quest for another zx :mad:

At our works there are 2 STI both with prodrive kits fitted and 1 wrx with prodrive kit fitted and they only do 148 mph on the M42 so dont see your mates doing 160 imho

New 1 with 6 speed box about 140mph :bow: Not bad for family saloon

In the first year of ownership i got my fingers burnt cost me about 3K in repairs but that was because i bought a bad 1 however in the past 2 yrs all it has cost me is routine maintenence and has never let me down :x: :bow: ok it now needs a 60k service but hey so do all cars now just need to win the Lotto to afford some mods Macca look out :bow:

i know this dont help but if it happens again go find a goldfish or similar from a pet shop and place in side the car then they are not allowed to move the car without breaking the law

whilst most of us on here have probably done a ton or more on the motorway i cant comment on it but i for one wouldnt do over 3x the speed limit in a built up area for that alone he should get at least reckless or dangerous driving i mean over 90mph in a 30 zone is asking for trouble and i dont care how well trained you are !!! IMHO

as previously said save and get a decent 1 i didnt i jumped in with both feet and it cost me a fortune to get usable i got car first then joined the info club here. Never again when i can afford my next 1 it will defo be off a member on here :bow:

no mate a full strip down and rebuild with different pressure flow inside the box mines an awful lot better than the stock box changes smoother and quicker also feels like it has taller gearing as not reving as high as it used to but doing the same speeds ( flat out everywhere :x: ) :cool:

a job best left to the experts fortunately my box was done at SE Nistec in london unfortunately they dont exist anymore Ha who needs a manwell when you have a proper auto box fitted :tongue:
