  2. yep thats my old one, iv told him to break it but he cant be bothered!
  3. well i spent years building her to how a wanted, then stupidly sold her to my mate, and he has writen her off last week, luckely he was ok & walked away without a scratch, but im gutted!
  4. there would still be a spark when turning over though (just out of time)
  5. As greg said get hold of a PTU and try that 1st... i take it you have fitted new spark plugs? i chased a non starting problem from weeks a few years back and it turned out to be that the spark plugs were fooked, they sparked but not enough to get her properly going. You need to write a list and work through it, otherwise you will just flit from bit to bit and not get anywhere
  6.     :hyper: :hyper: Fixed it! pulled all my dash apart and disconnected everything replaced the fuse and she didn't blow, slowly reconnected everything and found a lead going to the stereo was the problem! Cheers BIGSSS ur a life saver :)
  7. feels to much like a sideways movement to be the shocks i think, How do i find out which HICAS ball joint is goosed? just jack her up and give her a shake? Cheers Robo and thanks again andy, think i must owe you a few pints over the years! :duffer:
  8. Iv noticed that the back end of my Z wobbles, almost as if the hicas is all over the shop, I looked into it and found the HICAS hub that should be plugged into the steering wheel stashed under the dash! could this be the problem? I wouldn't have thought it would make the back and move about if it was in the same place though? But i dont know how the sytem works. Any ideas? or am i best getting a HICAS eliminator thing?, or could it be something else?
  9. big YESSSS! Followed by a big NOOOO! :headvswal you were spot on fella, fuse looked ok but was goosed, so put in a new one and 'pop' so i now have a problem with a short out somewhere! Any ideas where to start? im guessing its to do with the new LED stuff i had fitted.. so ill see if i can find something
  10. awesome! cheers fella, ill go and have a look now!
  11. i think it is one of the wires coming off the plug that is the problem as i have tried another pod and had the same problem... anyone have any ideas what wire is the earth?
  12. sorry to hijack.. but my back end seems to "wobble" at any speed, was striping down the dash a few weeks ago and found the hicas bit stuck under there.... is thats whats making it wobble or is it something else? Sorry again!
  13. Having a problem with my dash lights and rear lights, in that neither work! Iv narrowed it down to a earthing problem (i think) as i have checked all the fuses and changed the headlight pod and still no joy.... When i turn the lights on the front lights work, but the air con temp lights do not dim, none of the dash or auto box lights come on and neither do the rear lights. if anyone had any better ideas as to what it could be then im open to ideas, but i think its an earth coming off the light pod that is the problem.. So, has anyone got any ideas as to what wire i need to re-earth?
  14. sorry to drag this up again, but im having the same problems with my dash and also my rear lights aren't working either! My dash and rear lights worked fine for about a month!
  15. really need this fixing asap as im stuck in till i can get it sorted :headvswal
  16. Iv checked them all, the stereo is working and the headlamps still work, and the cigarette lighter is OK
  17. As above! i have tried my fuses and all seem ok, any ideas? I need to go out and cant!
  18. Just had all 4 of my wheels refurbed, 2 were very bad and 2 were curbed and the rear are 3 piece and front 2 so that was for a full strip and re-build and the lip's poished and centres powder coated. Full cost was £450 and that was also for tyres off and on and re-ballance! not to bad i thought
  19. I had NOS on my old TT and i was using the Holly Nos kit, wet with twin foggers, one for each bank, was loads of fun, i fitted it all myself and never had a problem in over 3 years!
