  1. heya, went out to my Z today in minus 5, started it up and left it running to heat it up, started fine and sounded fine apart from a slightly squeeky belt. got it 2 minutes down the road and the hicas, battery, abs and lights warning lights all came on, pulled in and the car started acting up, wasnt firing properly and kept trying to stall. decided to go straight home and on my way the temp gauge started to rise, thankfully got it home fine and switched off, there were alot of bubbling noises other weird noises coming from it and a small drip of fluid from around the filler.....anyone have any ideas what has happened??? any help welcome...hate seeing the Z unhappy!! cheers paul
  2. been looking through the smithy's website, they arnt too expensive, will try and give them a quick clean and fit sum beast HID's. cheers folks for all the help, much appreciated
  3. thats awesome cant wait to cremate those damn pedestrians and hopefully licra shorts clad cyclists too....how much would a set of these bad boys set me back..heard the cheapies on ebay can be unreliable??
  4. yeah, i thought that too, was told by the garage that the problem wasnt the amount of light but it was the way the light was displaced...he said the HID's would be brighter but the pattern would still be rubbish and so wouldnt solve the problem
  5. heya everyone, ive just registered as i bought a TT a few weeks ago and am so far enjoying my project. Have owned so far a tuned civic, an mr2 and a supra non turbo but this one i fell in love with the quickest. my first question (of many) is this.... my headlights are crap, ive noticed that there are lots of complaints along the same lines. had them checked by a garage today to find out why they are so dull and was told the electrics are fine and that i will need to change the actual headlight units as he thought the reflective-ness has melted away... someone suggested in another thread that they could just need cleaned out.. can i gain my light back by cleaning without taking the lights out?? please help as obstructions are more of a surprise when you cant see them:headvswal....cheers paul
