I think the cat temp sensors are only connected to the light on the dash. Well i hope they are as one of mine got broken when i did the de-cat Eddie

I think the only way of checking it the ptu has failed is to try one that is known to be working. I dont know who will have one you could borrow best of luck getting it fixed

Ye i have to agree with paul here it does sound like a bad battery connection. dont just check the positive, check the earth from the battery to the body as well, as a bad earth will also cause power loss.

Your car looked fine. The PTU or Power Transistor Unit is a unit that supplys the coilspacks, the series 1 is prone to fail in hot conditions. a failling ptu can cause misfire, power loss or cause the car to cut out completely. Seen a white zed REG, RIB **** on the back of a recovery truck parked at the side of the m25, where a lorry had crashed into the hedge. Not sure if the zed was involved but i hope nobody was hurt it look quite bad :eek:

decatted 5 months ago and running 12psi of boost no problems so far

I tried that and it just kept on stalling. it was drawing air in threw the re-circ not sure why. :confused: This is where i find out i have 2 faulty re-circ valves.

Just got back from billing. its been a great day the weather was perfect and there was a good turn out off zeds. it been good to meet new faces and get lots of useful advice especially off peter from Nissan SE whats the next big avent i cant wait :dance:
