i got out dragged by an audi a4 the other day complete with lexus lights lol it was rather wet thow and on an island,only other car to embarass me was a new 911 turbo which was rather fast around islands

Hi everyone. the zed has developed a problem:confused:a few days ago the exhaust temp light kept coming on then went away- now its back with a vengence the light comes on for a couple of minutes and the car is now running rough with a realy rough idle and a bad smell of burning when car is parked.Its a 90 j spec twin turbo auto,it says something about the exh temp on the sunvisor i just wish i understood japanesse:rant:

There is another pearl yellow one on pistonheads (apart from mine) priced up at £1700 which pissed me of a little-but mines better anyway:nana2: JDM cars are generaly better from what i have seen and as you say low miles and no rot usualy!

i think you get what you pay for with a zed in my opinion.My next one in about a year will be manual uk TT without doubt(sadly doubt it will be pearl yellow thow)ive been frustrated with my jap tt as it is totaly standard and unabused and is in a lot better condition than most uk cars but there is a big taboo in this country against imports which is sad in a way,as you can never seem to get what they are worth.

and the car pictured in that add does look like a uk twin turbo to me, the headlight washers are a give away amd the vents in front splitter.Could be genuine but i doubt it

that explains it then....definately something to think about! if a few more left the country it would also make them rarer here eventualy pushing the price back to were it should be.

i noticed that one its because of people like that selling them dirt cheap why they arent fetching top money at the moment. mines provisionaly getting shipped to the states next month and iv got what i wanted for her.Aparantly there is more manual swb over there and auto 2+2 TT's fetch top dollar right hand drive or not!so if your trying to sell a good zed it might be worth a try as shiping is only £500-700 which they will pay for quite happily:shock:

iv just turned 24 with a colourful license :rofl:and a previous ban i pay £101 a month fully comp with admiral for a yellow twin turbo(import)!its a G plate and qualifies for classic insurance, i dont know if newer zeds do thow.:confused:

no fuel leaks in my twin turbo 10-12mpg dont matter how i drive lol

it looks like its on stock suspension to me its how low the bumper is thats your problem.mines on standard rims and suspension and it looks the same i seem to catch the standard bumper on everything round here.if i had your one on mine it would of broke by now:rofl::rofl:

i know i was gona get a wrx before my zed but couldnt find a decent one and insurance is harsh on them-the zed is very cheap on insurance so thats a bonus.My mrs has been driving mine more than i have recently and shes thinking of buying it of me she loves it that much!its a car that gets a lot of female attention thats always a bonus lol

125bhp!i assumed it was a wrx and was thinking 31/32 is pretty good!the power is awesome i must admit.cars of this type wernt realy built with economy in mind so can moan to much-at least you know what to expect now.

yeah but when you have to drive it so carefully to get good mpg you have to ask your self whats the point?i bought mine for the power but im getting so pissed off putting petrol in and not been able to fully enjoy it,it gets a bit annoying.If i could get a second car thow it would be a different story maybe then i could enjoy it a little!

If your planning on using it as a daily driver as i have dont even think about it if you havent got the money as it will all be going in your tank!!Mine is a twin turbo auto and it doesnt matter if you drive it like the pope or like hamilton-it is awfull!!i have been getting 8-12 mpg this week and its in A1 mechanical order.When it was bit warmer i could get around 18mpg if i took it steady.Havent a clue about the NA as i dont see the point in it.

could well be the disk as i did noice a slight rubbing noise just before the burning smell started.what would be the symptoms of the diff dying?

Hi all,yet another little problem with me daily drive twinturbo!I have noticed after driving in any style there is a slight burning smell coming from the drivers side rear wheel.I have felt the tire and its never warm enough to make a burning smell(smell is similar to burning rubber)i havent a clue what this is but its bugging me a bit incase it leads to a big problem:cry: i have noticed a lot of oil on my carpark at about the point were the rear diff would be?im unsure if the oil is of mine thow as i have topark it were i can!
