  2. finally if grade of bearing is unknown just order all sizes 0-4 rod bushings/big and main then you can go wrong :D might need a few packs though
  3. bearings although japanese manufacturers over design bearing grades! for instance grade 2 against a grade 3 is so minimal even a micrometer wont register, so some people go for one grade available from good engine shops. you can get oversize + - You wont see the colours of the bearings after 15+years. you take the numbers from the crank and con rod caps so for example from cylinder 1-6 crank 1 1 2 0 1 0 rod 0 0 1 1 0 0 = 1 1 3 1 1 0 add to give correct grade big&main crank&block again add numbers from front to rear on block&crank block 1 1 1 0 crank 0 1 1 0 = 1 2 2 0 HTH greg
  4. arias :hyper: circlip design is spot on, quality is good expect to pay around £600 a set though obviously includes rings/clips etc. weisco on a budget, although im not keen on circlips fiddly to fit, and a few clips have failed, im not starting a debate as some have them fitted with no problems, i wouldnt use them personally but for the money and all that :smw: you get what you pay for and with an engine important components need good engineering work, best products in the world can go wrong if matching products are over/under spec'd south cerney engineering are very good, not cheap but who is!
  5. ud get 2k back with transmission/afm/brakes/clocks/wheels/amongst other things worst case scenario off course. manual conversion £600 leather£250 afm £100 brakes £200 uk clocks £100 misc interior £100 engine £300 if ok

  7. no need to replace con rods as there good for over 500hp its the pistons that need to be sorted so go forged ie arias/je/weisco

  10. problem is your extending an already wide wheel further out over the arch, might be ok with a widearch conversion, after you spend all that money you could get a set of advans and be done with it bud.

  12. its rare for the wategate to sit closed, if anything a cracked diaphram causing a leak at the wastegate but normally a peak drop in boost pressure is evident sometimes a spike which can be random. you can check the operation of the wastegates in situ, however removing them may be an arse. as already said passenger side is reachable/removable are you getting 1.2 bar imediately or does it peak to that amount? is there a slow reaction before you feel any turbo response
