  1. I'll give that a read when I've finished aggressor mate :thumbup1: I've got a kindle so I just download them. Have you read "First into Action"? It's one of the very few books about the SBS and it's a superb read.
  2. I recently spent £2500 on a paint job for my restored UK zed. £540 of the bill was just for the paint. I'd done a massive amount of prep on the car before hand but it still needed 16hours of labour by the bodyshop to get it perfect. In total I've spent well over 10k on restoring my car but I had already accepted that I wasn't going to get that money back. When finished I would value my zed around the 5k mark but as I will never sell it that's all academic really.
  3. At the moment I'm re-reading Aggressor a Nick Stone novel by Andy McNab. I've also read just about every UK military history bio written although I'm always looking for ones I haven't read. Terry Pratchett is another firm favourite as I love all the Discworld books.
  4. sold it to the devil years ago :lol:
  5. Does anybody know if having traction control fitted would decrease or increase the insurance? I'm hoping for a decrease :)

  7. Good points made there, as you say everyone has different views. I wanted a close to oem look, so thats what I went for and I'm very happy with the results. Go for it vods mate will look awesome when done :thumbup:
  8. No mate, just mangled the body work and bent the chassis rails. No damage to any of the mechanicals luckily. I've got the engine from it in my black one now. :sailor: a couple of pics;
  9. Have fun mate and top man Mark :punk:
  10. Edited as I was talking crap...
  11. When I had my crash in my jdm the first thing I did was light a fag. A bloke came running over to me and asked if I was OK, i said yeah fine and he said "can we push your car to the side of the road so I can get by?" 'spose so was my reply and we pushed the zed on to the side of the A47 :lol: That all happened within a minute of me coming to a stop after I'd done a 720!
  12. That's the only bit that's got me worried. As I've got a UK with the headlamp washers, I should be OK on hids as well.
  13. Glad your OK mate, that's the main thing. Sounds like when I wrote my jdm off but I was only doing 50 when it hit the black ice. EDIT Just read that you rolled as well :scared:
