Hi hope this wont get edited, my Dad has got a company that make dust caps for MG, Rover, etc. now these are high quality caps not crappy ally ones they are heavyweight brass caps chrome plated to grade 3 (Thick!!) they then have whatever logo placed in the top and enamelled in. We are looking to branch out and as a member I wondered what the interest would be to other zedders for sets of these with the zed in the top?? If we have enough interest we can produce a batch for the club (maybe re subscribing members as gifts? Club people??) As I have said he has supplied MG, Rover, Mini, Mini cooper, and Jaguar (XK8 and XJ6) so they really are a quality item. I have posted some pics to let you see the finish on them, they are like glass!! would look superb on a nice set of bling wheels!! if you are interested can you post a reply with your name on so that people can add to it. thanks guys and hope you like em

well after the fun I had after Christmas (See here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=42841) have now had the unofficial report from the "garage" that did the h/g back in September. :headvswal they have said that they have checked the h/g's and they are ok. The reason my car cooked itself in the space of minutes was because I had an airlock in the rad.....wtf!!!!!!!! Before I left my parents place I took 20 minutes making sure that all the levels were fine so how do you mysteriously get an airlock while you are driving? They have also said that the big end has gone!! (was ok before) To add insult to injury one of the partners is saying that he told me when the h/g went that really I needed a new engine and that the one piston was cooked -If it was cooked and i needed a new engine why the fvck did they do the job and happily take 1400 quid off me?? :xxx: :xxx: Oh and since I picked it up from them in September I have had an intermittent starting problem which I have put down to a "moody" series 1 ptu. However apparently there are sensors in the cooling system that detect a vacuum caused by an airlock and the car will not start as a preventative measure - again WTF???????????????????????????????? :( :( Are these guys really in LaLa Land and trying to take the pi$$ or what? any help info or support welcomed as I am on the verge of Legal Action and very very very pi$$ed off. :mad: Really love my zed :( and have had nothing but good things said about her by anyone that has seen her so it would be a shame for me to be forced into getting shot (which i really dont want to do ) but even if i do I need to have her running !!! And heres me thinking that maybe just maybe 2005 wont be as stressful as the last year!! havent even owned the zed a year and so far have spent between 3.5K and 5.5K getting things sorted (stereo,H/G!,gearbox,heatermatrix,alarm,etc) and at the moment she is sitting in a garage undriveable.... rant over - hope some of you can offer some encouragement to a thoroughly disheartened zedder!! :( :(

Have a mate out in Thailand that I cant reach.. he is a climbing instructor so all I can hope is he was teaching or climbing at the time. Just keeping me fingers crossed - no news is good news apparently. the whole situation is horrendous as Father to a 3 yr old boy I cant begin to imagine how these people are going to deal with the huge loss of life.
