its the same as those silly 25bhp chips on ebay, its a usefull test to see if your maf is not working as the symptome will change. Iv already opened a post in Help and Advice but Im just about to go to Maplins now so I needed a quick responce. The symptoms are described, if any of you can hepl please feel free!

im just wanting to bypass my maf sensor so im going to Maplins to buy a Dyode or a residtor, what do I need and is there a power rating or somethng?? Reason for this it im trying to see if my mas is faulty and I dont want to spedd £95 on a new one if its in working order. Cheers.

UPDATE, Cleaned the maf which made no difference. Checked all above, all seems ok. Im going to buy a inline resistor and bypass the maf and if that sorts it then its a new maf I need. After a drive around last night It turns out that when its cold it idels at about 950 but as soon as the engine is warn (10-15 mins of driving) its just sits at 1500 no matter what you do, even if I turn the engine off and on again it still sits at 1500???? Im starting to lose the will to live!

nice on, cheers, il get on it when I get home. Iv also ordered a new triple dry protection HKS element for my filter as mine is very old.

Iv bought some electrical contact cleaner so hopefully this should do the job, failing that if the symptems i mentioned are to do with a failed maf sensor il be buying one, hope its this simple!

The previous owner had no issues for 5 years, I buy it and im lucky if I can get a weeks trouble free motoring! My car is ticking over between 750 and 1500 (when cold & if I boot it hard) but normally sits at about 900. This only started a couple of days ago totally randomly. It use to sit at 750 all the time which is normal. Iv cleaned out my throttle bodies, cleaned all the relevant connectors and checked for loose wires. Iv fiddled with the EIC unit next to the throttle body but no luck there. Iv read the FAQ on Idling but what are we thinking??

What is faster, Based on most of these cars just have a chip or remap, filter, and exhaust. There is one cruising round my area and Im fearful that its quicker................?

Iv read ALL the posts on setting up a Greddy controller and iv finally sorted mine BUT what do I change to get a more aggressive boost punch at low revs?? Some pleple set their GAIN at 10% and others at 20% is this it or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Iv got 2 HKS ssqv dump valves and they sound amazing, so high pitch! expensive but well worth it.

Il have a little play and see if I can get it pushing me back in my seat, Fingers crossed or my controller may be up for sale........

Nice one, thanks. Its very confusing compares to other ones iv had in the past. I think I could do with downloading the instruction manual too just to aid me lol! At the moent the settings are not a million miles away from what you said but although its boosting at the same level it feels so much slower, doesnt push you back in your seat when the turbos kick in...............??? I was tempted to put the jets back in
