  3. Im in Leeds/Bradford in West Yorkshire, any help is great, thanks!!!!
  4. No, im scared it will only get so far before it conks out and I have to get it recovered again. Is nissan the only place that can diagnose?
  5. As you are more than aware, iv had nothing but issues since I bought this Z. After it was driven home on a low loader last night after the misfire became that bad the engine died and would not even fire up again. I mangaed to get it ticking over this morn with use of a gallon of WD40 all over the coil pack connectors but its still missing. I noticed that steam (condensation) was coming out of one of my exhausts a hell of a lot more than the other wich would lead me to believe the issue is the left side of the block. Would removing the coil packs and wd40 ing them help as moisture could have got deep inside them or are we thinking its more likely internals?? I can say im getting to hate this car!:headvswal:mad:
  6. Its fine, thay work great now, there is nothing to really fail or go wrong a pcv valve, it all good ha ha
  7. I was going to change mine but after soaking them in de greasnt (extra strong carb cleaner) for a hour and blasting them out with a air line they where as good as new. Im only scrimping cos iv spent a grand on the engine in the last 3 weeks.
  8. Iv sorted it, one of the pipes had split hense rough running when it was cold. So Iv cleaned both valves out, replaced the pipes and cleaned my injector connectors as they where green, especually the back 2. She is running like a dream now, no misfire or hesitation on cold. For anyone who wants to clean the PCV valves out use this link, its the same for a TT. http://www.wallpaperama.com/forums/how-to-replace-change-pvc-pvc-valves-on-nissan-300zx-turbo-non-engine-t421.html
  9. some great advice, cheers guys, I think Il just try clean the valves first and replace the hoses as its prob the least hastle way. Thanks again.
  10. so just to clarify, I CANT replace the pcv valves with breather filters. The reason I thought it would be ok is because the valves only allows air to pass 1 way through them, so block off the intake manifold side and have the cam covers breathing freely. If cant I have a go at cleaning them with some carb cleaner and a air line, usually succesfull, failing that il be straight onto MJP
  11. good lord! your probablt correct in that case, must be just to seal the joint and keep moisture out
  12. so im guessing the dielectric silicone grease that came with my ht leads is conducting. Actually when I think about it, when I put it on my batt terminals it crackled as soon as the connector touched it so it must be.
  13. nice one, il give them a bell
  14. Iv found a few of my wifes nail files which look like thay are made for the job! hope she doesnt find out Vinegar, i like that idea, it will prob just be as strong as wheel acid. Iv got some clear gel that I got with my Magnacore leads, will that be better than Vaseline as its a conductor as well as a anti corodent?
  15. no, a Evo and a Glanza turbo. So do you think it may cause some issues by removing the PCV's and replacing it with 2 breather filters? It made no difference on thses cars, people also put a oil catch tank on in place too. Iv been looking and I cant find any info about people doing it on a Z tt.
  16. cheers, im in 2 minds weather to just plug The manifold side and put a small breathes filter on The block side. its been a good mod on my previous cars.
  17. I have removed PCV valves from my previous cars and just added a small breather filter instead, has anyone done this on a 300?
  18. Has anyone got a new set as im after some asap and cant wait for them to come from the usa
  19. Iv had a go at getting to the back injector connectors off and I cant get near them to undo the little metal clips holding them on. Plus whst do I use to clean them, iv heard its good to use alloy wheely cleaner and a paint brush??

  23. ok thats a good start, 1 down loads to go....
  24. Just notices that the fan at the front on my engine is always on, is this normal? Reason for asking is im trying to get to the bottom of juddering and a lumpy and even a slight misfire when its cold, ticks over beautifully now iv changed my IAA valve so its just for 3-4 mins when cold then she runs like a dream
