anyone willing to do a timing belt change for me ( york/leeds area) too technical for me having to fit a new water pump , so already got front end stripped down so thought i may as well get belt done at same time if poss waiting for mjp to get back to me on pump and thermostat parts anyone??? would be willing to pay for time :bow: :bow: :bow:

i would put a long rope on the rear tow hook and tie there legs to the other end then take it down the quarter mile

cheers lads yes it is the water pump what a job getting it of had to strip just about everything on front end the worse part is yet to come putting it all back together

how do you know if the water pump is not working if i manage to get it off

im a bit out of my league here ive got water leaking out of bottom of engine seems to be coming from rear of bottom belt pulley got all front parts off ie fan,hoses,right side drive belt cover etc etc to the point of loosing track of everything would i be right in thinking it may be the water pump?? or is it worse maybe head?? :( :( :(

i can understand the water leak and come the weekend ill find out where its coming from but why should it dip down as if no fuel when i accelerate

wheres all the pro,s on here someone must know whats going on its also started reving around 1500 on idle and when you press clutch i fitted an apexi intake at billing and it doesnt seem to have been the same since

dont know never been able to get under the car yet where do you think the water is coming from and why should it not boost??? looks like a garage job £££££££ oh shit :cry:

im not greatly mechanically minded hope someone can help me out. on my way home i noticed it wouldnt go into boost,(just dipped down as if no fuel) i presume this is the safety boost. i then noticed the temp go into the red i got home noticed it was leaking water. took the center panel off to see where it was coming from. found a big lump of polestirene jammed between the fan and the rad now how the hell did this get there,because the front scoop is coverd with mesh (veilside c2 type front ). cant see no water from front of rad. need to get car off ground to find out where leak is hope its not serious can anyone help ? :cry: :cry: :cry:

anyone got any suggestions for some grooved discs {cheepish} cant afford likes of brembo etc just ordered some kevlar pads from smithy keeping stock calipers,told these are quite sufficiant so was thinking about changing discs at the same time as pads any suggestions

try the maguires body scrub especially if you have a red car unbelievable stuff never use autoglym again
