  2. well did the diagnostic yesterday and twice it showed no faults so , obviously mechancal? gonna have this autobox specialist look at it, but thats not gonna be until monday now from what he's said , but im not holding out for much lol, will keep u all posted:)
  3. thanks mate , just have to see what the change and clean out brings , but i think its giving up badly just suprised it was more sudden than pre-warned i admit i dont use the car everyday but checked oil not that long ago and gear change's where smooth!
  4. i know, i know cant get over the the fact, more than likely looking at a new box ! i'll be doing a diagnostic 2 moz and a mate's gonna halp us drop the oil and clean the filter out etc , even tried it out again after work and seems to jolt very badly in to second, didnt take it much further than that incase it wouldnt take off from scratch again if i had to stop ! So unless i see miracle results from the oil change etc looks like i'll have to give this one a miss:mad: still undecided what to do also:rolleyes:
  5. just a quick up date, phoned a local gearbox specialist on my dinner break who advised if the oil change and filter clean out gives no joy and i dont want to drive it to him , he'd come and take a peek free of charge over the weekend :) , but agreed it sounds like the box is giving up Just as she was running so well 2:(

  11. Well i've not had a good start to the day to say the least ,started the Z up this morning and just could not initialy get the car to to take off in first :headvswal (revs kept on going up as if was in N), after a short while warming up it seemed to jump in to the gear but wouldnt change from first in to second!, after driving up and down the street it became obvious i couldnt use it for work today so ended up taking my mums old fiesta instead ive been reading most of the gearbox threads and the signs dont look good to say the least (but not really had any early warning signs!) im off work tomorrow so gonna do a diagnostic and poss drain and clean filter out over the weekend with the help of a friend (i hope) and just see what happen's from there

  22. mc afee is a ok antivirus but from the reviews iv'e read it's not the best ! I use bit defender and it's top notch , also avg is a free download and seems to have some good features I usually find that if the pc it self runs slow (acsessing doc's quickly) and the net is slow it (can) be a virus , I take it U've run a scan though? and are not getting allot of pop ups?
  23. Hi Isaac, it does sound like a spyware or virus issue is it just the net thats slow or does it appear slower when opening documents in quick succession? also what anti-virus are you using at the moment ? chris
