I got pulled over once for having side lights with a blue tinge fitted to the front, not on the Z though, and unsure if it's illegal etc, but you will be safe for sure with red :)

Depends what look you want there are allot of kits etc out there amd varied opinions on all, allot favour the 99 spec front/rear spoiler and rear lights etc. Chris
