i have the blitz fatt dc ..it works the same depending on what setting u have it on, on the auto setting it uses inpulses from the engine to work out how hard and how long its been driven and then works out a time from there, or u can set it to manual n pick how long u want it to run for also. its a cleaver little thing n worth the money

i'm in the same boat....dont know if i should bin it or not...a kinda like it bt want rid of the clutter in the engine bay and its less to go wrong as i have disscovered there is lots to go wrong on these motors. think i mite rip it out while the engine is out.

i have the same hks ssqv's on mine .....only mine are in the original position , jst replaced the standard valves..didnt bother puttin thm in the top pipes n it seems fine

got out bid on the engine by a tenner ...propa wounder!!!! any one else got one ?

mine is the uk spec manual ...wud it still go on ...as im not sure of any differences if at all there is any.

mine was a red j reg mk golf gti ...was awsome wish i still had it ..bt deside to go for a 2.9 vr6 engine swap out of the corrado thn ran out of money n time so sold it on ...i passed my test jst under 2 year ago aswell n my insurance is 1600 with swinton...not too bad considerin i was payin 2000 on my a3 1.8t last year.

found out the true problems 2day ...apparently the rings are shot n the liners are worn down to wen the turbos wer goosed.....on the hunt for a new lump now...if any one got one let me know asap. 'meht' if ya still got that 1 mite be interested let me know.

i was on holiday when he foned up my house...dont no exactly what he did ....wen i got home i started her up to see for my self n it was running ok just it was still smoking on throttle...god only knows wat they wer on about so gunna get another opinion n get a compression test dun.

well it eventually happened ...my zds rngine give up on me and is only runnin on 2 cylinders.......had it looked at by a mechanic n he sed its as good as dead...need new engine or rebuild this one, any one got any ideas wat best root is?

had the same problem matey ....turned out to be turbos.......replaced thm and all is well ...still smoked abit after bt tht was down to all the oil left in the manifolds n such.

i have exactly the same exhaust as your talking about and they not overly lound bt sound just nice and really look the part aswell...not to sure on performance issues...but i can imagine tht anything over stock would be an improvement.

same happened to me the other day ...tapped it home with sum locktight aswell

a think i have cracked it lol.......it sounds like they may be a boost leak ...a think an can hear a smalll hiss...also a think they havnt set the actuator up properly n soon as its boostin its openin the wastegate n lettin it all out cos its only boostin at summit like 7 psi if that...... n it used to be bowt 13 with it turned down slightly n 16 wen fully up.

jast got the car back from garage today after havin 2 turbos replaced oil n filter and clutch master and slave cylinder done.....car is smokin is ass off still however this cd be down to the gallons of oil still in my exhaust and manifold?...and car is now totally flat nothin at all....its like drivin a 1.0l micra could it be in limp mode? wat could the problem be?:mad::headvswal

im thinking of doin the same ,as i work in an engineering company im jst gunna make up sum ally sapcers same dimensions as the hinge bit what is attached to the bonnet ...will let u no how it goes...if all is well...thn will gladly make up sum more n if anybody wants thm will post thm out to you.

the original one on the car smakes n the one i bort is bit sticky n dont spin freely...the garage told me tht they can make a gd one out the 2 nakerd ones like......mite jst scrap the idea of standard one n get 2 t28 roller bearings ?
