hello i brought my z one week ago since then its been in the garage more times then i have had it on my drive..... the problem is the 3rd night i had it driving home from work it started to misfire and loose power to which i had to blip the throttle to get it to go anywhere!! managed to drive it about 2 miles with the problem worsening till i eventially gave up and pulled over switched off engine. when i tried to restart it it wouldnt start i phoned the garage who promptly picked it up took it back to the workshop and tried to start it there no go!! the next morning they went to start it and she fired up straight away and ran lovely to which they kept on testing it start and ran it ect. i picked it up ran lovely, i went for and 1.5 hour drive no probs. next morning she started i went to shop car fine. when i went to another store i parked outside came back and tried to start her she wouldn't start again.(had to be towed by my bros freelander very embarrasing :( ) i have tried to read the posts on here so i can try andd give the garage a hint of where to look and u guys know what u are talking about am i right in thinking i have a potential ptu prob. yes it is a series 1 and is there any way of testing it as a jo bloggs cheers in advance and sorry for the long write up but this is doing my head in :headvswal

love mine black but if i had the money and the crazy ness i would convert panals to kevlar or carbon fibre and get it plastic cromed if possible . so a fully cromed z beautiful!! :hyper:

thanks everybody for your help loks as tho its a 1990 car will try and get the dealer to cry in his tea when i plonk 50 sheets of information stating that his nice k reg car advertised as 1992 is infact 2 years older and i want the price reduced to mach the specific year again cheers for all your help (can destress now phew!!!)

no only the chassis number on reciept. the car has no mods in bulk standard condition its older than i thought tho doesn't seem like it could be a 92 k reg does it.

that car seems in good condition and pulls like a train but this would be my first z and i dont wanna find its a ringer or not the age it should be its a na 2 seater metallic black with grey tweed interior seat belts on the doors havent cheacked the dates of interior stuff yet will do when i sposed to "collect" the car tomorrow... s@it i knew something would go wrong

basically there is a warming on the forum about z'ds with registration k***bom being registered as a k plate but are really 1990/91 aged cars what should i do guys?

help HELP!!!! i am just 12 hours away from buying my first z i have just read the post by black magic and the info contained within am i gonna be buying a turd reg k***bom is there alloot of worries with these cars are they really the age the reg states or older poss ringer cars.....ANY advise will be very greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!
