be careful how big a spacer you use. i had to use 5mm ones on the front of mine and im only just happy with the thread length. i would say 10mm spacers would need longer studs all imo of course.

i had the cav 2.0 8v and the engine was bomb proof. my brother had calibras for years from th 2.0 8v to the 2.0 turbo. i would go for the ecotech 2.0 16v as its a very underatted engine my bros last one was one and it was really nice. came with cream leather interior handled reaaly well too. i know nothing about audi's apart they are built really well. calibras are becoming very chavvy now tho mate and too many cocks are buying them shame really as it held the lowest coefficient of drag for years only to be beaten by the bmw 8 series.

out of curiosity are they just aluminium and where did you get the studs for them. these seem to go for around £150 a pair

you can buy a uk dash (rocking horse poo) for aprox £120 or get a converter box which also removes the limiter from £60 i think
