  1. sounds like a good idea seeing as we missed out on our bowling on the isle of wight last year. i will look into it or any locals round that area could give me a few details then that would be great..
  2. good luck chris. :duffer:
  3. fook me thats a long way round!! it would be sooo much easier to just use an electric drivers seat then you dont get any holes anywhere! and you just have to modify the subframe.
  4. tbh mate its for a very light job (a light alloy panel.) nothing as involved as a glove box but sshoooossssh its a secret ;)
  5. no i dont have a code but you have pm
  6. thanks ivan :hyper: any more for any more.
  7. TAKE THE SEAT OFF FIRST!!!! :headvswal oh and after welding make sure you paint it a nice gloss black.
  8. anybody got or can get hold of these.touch latch clicky i only need two for a project on the Z but dont want the hastle of setting up an account for a £3 product :headvswal or does anybody know where i can get them off of the shelf?? i have looked everywhere.
  9. i did it right firstly i had an original series 2 electric passenger seat without subframe. i used a drivers subframe to fit it into the car so i dont see why you could not use a drivers seat. there are a few things i had to do to get them to fit. the main one was the subframe..... the seatbelt clip is on the wrong side you have to grind it off carefully and using your original passenger side subframe grind that one off keeping as much of the original bracket as possible. (just cut the welds ) get that welded onto your new subframe (drivers) secondly is the switches. you have to take them apart and move the internals about to give you a true forward backwards movement (as the switch will now be located on the left side of the seat apposed to its original position. at this point you may wish to get rid of the markings for movement as they will no longer mean anything. thirdly is power you need to run some heavy guage wire from a good + supply and ground the seat to the chassis. make sure the supply is fused (cant remember the rating now but check your fuse box) i suggest you run the cable in conjunction with the original seat supply. thats all i can think of for now
  10. wonder what caused it to go in the first place! its amazing how often you actually use it tbh! :headvswal
  11. bump is this going to be resolved
  12. air flow meter failing causing my z to cut out. thats it really apart from the ususal warn bushes etc you expect to find on a 15 year old car. oh and my power steering is a little irratic somthing im going to sort this year.
  13. i would say tho £8500 US is a bit overpriced considering the pictures. the paintwork would need a bit of work considering the scratches.
  14. i have just been looking at some of the car pics. there are a few marks etc but you have got to take into consideration that that z is over 10 years old. best bet is to read and download the buyers guide from here and take a mechanic friend with you to view it. take it for a LONG test drive checking all the temperatures etc. test the car when it is cold and insist that the vehical is not started prior to your arrival. if it don't feel right walk away these cars have a habit of ruling your heart over your head.
  15. it is possible but go on the condition of the car. waht makes you suspect its been tampered with?
  16. its not driven by a cable its motor driven by a signal pulse from the speedo this is standard accross all z32 they didnt do a digital odometer. a later spec z is nice as it has the alacantra velour interior much better than tweed.
  17. just next to Glasgow airport. AVA Turbos Walkinshaw Road Renfrew Glasgow PA4 9LP t = 0141 848 5257
  18. it takes alot of cash and uprated injectors, turbos etc to get anywhere near that sort of power. get it rolling roaded we could guess all day what power it is the only sure way is to "prove" it on the rollers.
  19. no deisel cars get the most gain from chipping. chipping cars all depends on the condition of the engine modifications fuel etc etc. there is no ball park figure to be had from thin air. there are rough estimates from basic mods such as air filter and exhaust to wild cams huge injectors , turbos . if you wnt to find out what your car is producing get it on a rolling road.
  20. not telling you because its really sad. but its quite ironical for me as im nothing like a hellraiser!
  21. lmao! very good mate well spotted.
