seriously tho the idea for the fibre optic ufo gaget is a goodun. the optics are already clumped together and all you have to do is fix the ends to the windows ect. the end has the be fixed not anywhere along its length as the light travels up the centre in a sense. the illumination can be sourced by 2-3 leds at its base colour dependent on mood etc. hope that help bud.

when you build it just snap the fooker in half and put it at the bottom of a water tank. that way you wouldn't have to worry about the illumination as the generators wouldn't be working on the ocean floor.
