  1. click on advanced under post box. click on manage attachments . then add an attachment from your harddrive
  2. i paid about £50 for all the gaskets needed (genuine nissan) i would budget a weekend for your first time!
  3. then you have renewed the most likely causes and can breath a sigh of relieve that they shouldn't leak for another 5-10 years! have you changed your oil? if not change it . mine were leaking and an oil change stopped it! but its just a temp solution really . i already have the gaskets for when it starts again!
  4. they can leak they are the yellow bits in the pic just incase you wasn't sure! its the most likely cause especially if you are due a service and the old oil is thin. otherwise i would suspect oil feed pips to the turbo.
  5. cam shaft cover ffs! rocker cover whatever you want to call them your on about the timing belt cover the camshaft covers under the plenum(inlet manifold) there are 4 of them and can leak oil onto the exhaust manifolds and tubs!! :headvswal
  6. cam cover leaking a bit of oil perhaps.

    lol yes i lnow. russ's engine was fantastic. have only seen 1 pic of it recently!!! i want different angles etc of what he did.

  15. if you look at the second vid you canb just make out the tensioner is completely closed putting no pressure on the belt.

  17. i got given a tensioner back but whos to say it was my old one!
  18. i only had a 60k service done back in 2006!!! i want to know how a tensioner can fail with less then 10k miles on it!!??!?
  19. been a busy boy today. started to strip down the front of my engine today so i could get to see what is causing the car to sound like a diesel. as you know i was able to take off one cover and i found the belt was a bit loose. i showed you a vid of the z running and what i thought was belt slap! well 3 hours today i have got the top covers off and this is what i found so far.... :shock: belt tensioner dont look right to me..!!?!? btw i know i have a geeky voice :wack: where is the 4 mm gap :rolleyes: tensioner
