putting z back together now. want to tighten the crank pulley and forund the torque to be 159-174 foot pounds! my torque wrench only goes to 150 ft/ibs + i assume you put the car in 5 gear and just rely on the timing belt to hold the torque?!? or am i supposed to hold it some other way?? :bow:

stop SHOUTING LOL. a ptu can fail on one cylinder only too. its basically an electronic switch which controls spark to each coil pack. have you taken the plug out of that cylinder and put it back in the coil pack to see if a spark is evident?

smoke. oild dripping onto exhaust. can be via rocker covers or the oil feed to the turbo. spark problem. have you tried a good known working ptu?

i don't think it was replaced. the bearing is pitted on it and im convinced its either the original one or a replaced second hand one. comparing the bearing to the new idlers its deffo older. im waiting for somebodys number so i can find out where the one i paid for is!! :mad:
