  1. That is supplement 1 I scanned for you ;)
  2. Where's it leaking from on the valve? Any chance you could remove it and have it repaired?
  3. Check Paisley freight too ;)
  4. I would go with Old Zed's advice to start with. My diesel car was overheating and it turned out to be the rad. You CANNOT trust the stock temp gauge, they are absolutely crap and your car will overheat before it moves fromthe normal range and it will move from normal to max in a matter of seconds. A sniffer/block test will help too and if you're in London at all, I can do that for you
  5. Cos adding 10-15 % of either diesel or petrol or mixed to biodiesel keeps it from waxing in winter ;)
  6. No worries, cheers anyway :) I was told it costs a small fortune to have removed
  7. I meant what do you do with it once you've collected it? The reason I ask is I need some for winter as I run my other car on bio. Petrol/diesel in a perfect winterizer for bio.
  8. Cheers David. I just know what insurance compainies are like - any excuse to load a premium
  9. Hi, Can I ask what you guys do with your misfuel? Vijay
  10. Morning, I need to know about the downsides to owning a cat D written off car. Are insurance premiums raised for them? Vijay

  13. really like the idea of the bench electrics panel, did you find it on Ebay?
  14. Problem you may have with Ebay is getting any sort of warranty. Even if they do agree, you'll probably have to pay for return shipping. I agree with Princeking, Costco no questions asked refund - even if you decide you want to replace it for the hell of it in 3 years for a nice new one
  15. so so sorry to read this bud, can't imagine how you must be feeling, but I'm sure I'm right when I say everyone on here is here for you if you need to unload your head. Vijay
  16. I really have no idea why it has to be on the negative, both ammeters worked fine on the negative side and both blew when connected to positive :( Every wiring diagram I've seen suggests that it should be connected to the negative....................
  17. the 4 glowplugs are around 50 amps in total. I bought a 100a digital ammeter (panel type) with a 100a shunt but it can only be connected on the negative side of the circuit. That's no good to me as the engine/glowplugs are earthed.
  18. I want to see what amps the glowplugs on my diesel are pulling so I can see when one stops working (ergo I see a lower amp displayed as they are joined on a busbar)
  19. I've always found the Chinese sellers to be very helpfull as they seem to want their customers to be happy and recommend them. Have both sides stopped?
  20. Does this make any sense and could someone make it up for me for a price? The RangeRover has six individual wires from the glowplug controller, one to each plug. Inside the controller each wire connects via a low value resistor to the relay which supplies them with 12V. The controller monitors the voltage drop accross these resistors and therefore detects a fault when one (or more) plugs fail (and therefore the current through the relevant resistor is zero) and flags this as a fault code. You could do something similar I guess. Not a five minute solution but I reckon that it would work to drive LEDs exactly as you want. Something like a 0.05 ohm high power resistor in series with each plug all being powered from a common relay, and an op-amp monitoring the voltage drop across each resistor and driving an LED would almost certainly work. At 10A per plug, the power in each 0.05ohm resistor is only 10X10X0.05 = 5Watts so a fairly small wirewound resistor should do. Voltage drop would be 10X0.05 = 0.5Volts so not likely to affect the performance of the plugs and is plenty for a basic amplifier circuit to detect and drive an LED. Going lower, say 0.01ohm would be 1 watt dissipation and 0.1 volts dropped so even less impact and should still easily drive an op-amp.
  21. I'd like to wire one into my diesel glowplug system but the problem I have is the 4 glowplugs are powered by 12v to a busbar. Is there any way of connecting an ammeter to the postive side of the circuit? Cheers Vijay
  22. Vig, will they not replace them under warranty??
  23. How have you tested for a spark, just against an earth? I would get out a multimeter anf check for voltage along the wiring then and also check your PTU
