  1. I certainly wouldn't let the Police fob you off. If you want I can ask my mate who worked for the traffic dept of the police for years and would know what they "should" do about it
  2. You don't need the front bumper off, just need to remove the indicators/blanks to get to some bolts - http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.346 and if you intend on taking them apart - http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.346
  3. You basiclly have the three mechanics for London based Zeds listed there all a bit of a trek nut all worth it from what I've read. And for engine work I'd travel to Jimmer.
  4. Unless he's moved he was down in Surrey
  5. Don't think you'll find a Z mechanic in London but Silverbullet isn't far at all and he's an obvious Zed enthusiast ;)
  6. Totally agree with Car.Mad, you'be bought a bumper that should fit a 300zx, not one that you have to start cutting/adding to fit and cost you more from a bodyshop :( Really hope you get it sorted either way.
  7. How can they argue about no returns when it fits like that :( Why can't people have pride in the work they do!!!

I honestly don't think anyone would be happy with someone "road testing" for 7 miles unless they had your permition and you were aware. Sorry but I'd be taking this as far as I could cos it's plain wrong and basically theft! Totally agree with Mid-wales-zx, what happens if it breaks down next week :( Sad to hear another story of people not being able to be trusted.............
  9. at a guess it could be that the TPS is used on other Nissan models and doesn't need 3 wires on a 300 hence the loom has 2 connectors. Can check my car tomorrow if it helps
  10. had it for quite a while, one of Eric/Danny @DTA's units. Cost a few hundred quid but never regretted buying it.
  11. It's a diagnostics unit that plugs into a port near your pedals and works from a laptop. To be honest I've no idea if the range is supposed to go that high but I'd imagine it'd have to be changed if you can't get the reading right down
  12. I live near Brent Cross and have a Conzult, could easily get your TPS at the right voltage. No idea about what's inside but personally I'd replace it rather than repair ;)
  13. on the bottom of the TPS is anoth connector, which is for the idle switch. And don't be tempted to buy the MAF copies on Ebay, you'll be open for more trouble. His username is Mr.F and he's MJP Eastern Auto ;) Are you ever down near Brent Cross?
  14. I believe a new one is around £40 so I'd change it if I was you, cheaper than puting it back into a garage ;)
  15. Maf is a few hundred from Nissans, TPS was around £40 and no idea about CAS. Call/PM Mike Feeney for good prices and service ;)
  16. Had the same thing with my PC, basically had to turn on an option in the sound settings to output the sound as a digital signal (pretty sure that's what it was). It was easier for me to just run a phone lead to my DVD surround amp instead of messing with settings each time.
  17. are you disconnecting the TPS or the idle control switch which is another connection on the TPS (at the bottom)
  18. http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/c-108-featured-products.aspx http://www.theleathercare.co.uk/home.html?g&gclid=COD5xMex7aMCFcH-2AodYA0A4Q
  19. IIRC a company called woolies did restoration stuff for leather
  20. The neighbour on the other side has already spoken to the council many times, untill it's being occupied they won't do a thing. He thinks people are stupid but I can tell from the sounds of what electric tools are being used as to what work is being done and the fact there's also 3 boilers (on the 3 floors) and 3 kitchens is a bit of a give away.
  21. if you lost spark wouldn't that be the same as no throttle? How often does it happen?
  22. ebay or lidl had them. They bloody hurt! lol
  23. well I know he hasn't had any sort of approval to turn them into flats which he's obviously doing and I've not problem with getting onto the council when people start turning up to look over the place (council won't do anything until that point).
