  2. I'm intreaged to know what the new boyfriend told you IS going to happen?
  3. I would speak to the garage and ask them if they touched/disconnected anything else while working on your car
  4. My first thought was you had a lucky escape mate!! lol Second thought was you're a bigger person than a lot could be and seem to have been pretty mature about the whole thing cos you see what's important, your relationship with your kids ;) If I was you I would see if I could get the week off but let her know politely that you need more notice to get time off work in the future and make the most with your time with you kids :) At the end of the day depending on how old your kids are, they'll realise that you stood in to look after them while she was off enjoying herself. Vijay
  5. use a hacksaw to cut the old ones out (or a recipricating saw if you have one) and the use a press or large vice to get the new one in.
  6. a smear of copper grease will stop them seizing
  7. cut a slot in the nightmare bolts so you can easily undo them from the top next time with a flat tipped screwdriver ;)
  8. as for helmets, there's a guy on the forum who does them cheaper, weldequip is his forum name ;)
  9. might be worth a look here http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/index.php?
  10. Really sorry to hear mate. I know how you feel, you've lost the most loyal friend you could ever ask for but the way you have to look at it is what a lovely life she had. It's all we can do as loving owners is to treasure them cos their lives are so short in comparisson. Vijay
  11. do the MAF, PTU and CAS connectors too ;)
  12. get some contact cleaner and spend a couple of hours cleaning every connector you can get to in the engine bay
  13. Hi, Can anyone recommend a good one cos I'm just fed up of getting unwanted emails :( Cheers Vijay
  14. you can get to them without the bumper off, just a matter of finding the right tools. Before you put the bolt back, cut a slot in the end so you can use a flat screwdriver from the top next time
  15. that's unburnt fuel, probably just a dirty connector on the MAF or CAS. Get yourself a can of contact cleaner and give every connector in the engine bay a clean.
  16. would it be an idea to pull the battery connections too, I thought they might try and find your car by using the remote and listen for the chirp of the alarm.
  17. does it have another marker after 180?
  18. the best was told to me by elephant who put my premium up cos someone went into the back of me, she said it had gone up because I was more of a liability on the road. I asked her does she expect me to leave my car on my drive, she didn't answer. They're all the same, here to rip us off!! Makes you see why people don't bother with insurance cos they'd only get a slapped wrist and a silly little fine :(
  19. Sure I've got one in red, my email is vij@dsl.pipex.com
  20. Your best bet is to put up a post in the wanted section ;)
  21. like a venturi effect
  22. Look to pay up to £100 for a good second hand one and as Dan said, don't bother with the cheap new crap on Ebay ;)
  23. Donated a tenner, good luck to Hannah
  24. Certainly wasn't having a go at you bud, I just always think there's enough dogs out there already ;) Wish everyone looked after their dogs like you obviously do.
  25. Just my opinion but why bring extra dogs into the world when there are plenty in rescue homes
