  1. if I'm right in saying that it's the speedo that's different. The top 2 location holes are different. Vijay
  2. yep, indiglo where the faces are lit up (white during the day and what ever colour at night). I can ask him about the reverse glow too if anyone's interested in those. Vijay
  3. After a number of failed attempts, I might have a supplier in the US who is willing to make up the faces in mph for us in the UK. The faces I'm talking about will change colour from blue - light blue - green - blue green - light green - violet - cyan - indigo at the touch of a button. The kit will include the transformer and all replacement faces. The rough price I have will work out to between £150 to £170, which would include shipping and taxes. If anyone's interested, can you just say if your clocks are a series 1 or 2, as the fitment would be different. I can't say if this will definitly come off as I've been promised by other suppliers so I'm just trying to see the interest. If we do get enough he has "promised" I will have the first one to try in abouts 2-3 weeks. Cheers Vijay

  5. Hello Rav, Does this help - http://www.alltrac.net/manuals/ Vijay
  6. Chris, He repaired the previous work done, then put in the vents and done the respray. Russ, that was go faster gaffa tape!!! I think I've lost at least 10 bhp :( Anyways, stop being cheeky if you want that gear knob which is sitting in my kitchen;) Vijay
  7. absolutely unreal!!! Would you have a case against the police? Vijay
  8. cheers, yep it was worth it when I saw the job Pete had done. It was a 14 hour round trip today:eek:  Vijay
  9. it was on this post mate - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17499&highlight=pivot Vijay
  10. thanks for that Iain. Yep another happy PPS customer. It's actually pearl blue. It really flips when it hits the sun. Peter did a fantastic job with the vents on the front wings. I wasn't too sure wether I was gonna like them, but in the flesh, I think they really do look the business. Nearly caused an accident on the way home. A guy with a car full wasn't looking in front of him cos he was too busy pointing out my car to his passangers:D:D Vijay
  11. no, just trying to put some aftermarket faces on. Vijay
  12. Morning Iain, no, I meant cutting the smaller end of the needle off, not removing it - what do you think? Vijay
  13. what about removing the smaller end of the needle. Would they then just slip over? Vijay
  14. well I've got no bloody chance of finding out from him then:D :D There's no way I can cut the face, they'll never work again:confused: So is it just the speedo that's the problem? Vijay
  15. just wondering about people who have changed the dial faces on their clocks, how they did it. I've seen it mentioned that if it's done wrong (when the needles are removed), then that's it - the dials are screwed. Is there anyway of putting on the faces without removing any needles? Cheers Vijay
  16. lol, I think he almost did - I only wanted my service book back though:( damn courts!!!! Vijay
  17. Lee, I believe the going price is around the 600 mark for fitting. The only other thing is it's a good time if the timing belt and that sort of thing needs doing. I can vouch for Darren's work, he did a real nice job fitting my turbos but I must have upset him off at some point cos he never returned phone calls afterwards:( (never ever knew why) I've got a very good mechanic near me if needed. Vijay
  18. Hello Lee, Just spoke to Smithy £500 plus VAT each and that includes delivery. Vijay
  19. Speak to Smithy too as he was dealing in turbos. Then you just need to find a good mechanic to fit them. Vijay
  20. it doesn't recognize any of the windows cd's as a boot up disk:( Vijay
  21. Hello guys, I need to load windows onto a laptop that has been formatted. The only thing is it hasn't got a floppy drive so I can't use a start-up disk. It has a cd rom and I've tried changing the setup to check cd first on boot-up, but it won't recognise any operating system. Any ideas? Cheers Vijay
  22. have you tried using a large set of waterpump pliers? Vijay
  23. well I've got an ex Nissan mechanic who owns and worked on 300's. He's just finished one of the guys car from here and it's purring like a kitten. He's a real genuine guy who takes pride in what he's doing. I can ask him tomorrow if you want, I can't gaurantee he'll do it cos he's real busy, but I can ask. Vijay
  24. Hi, Yeah, if you do a search you'll find that it's a common problem with the oil pressure sender. You can either buy a new sender (around £80 I think) or fit an aftermarket gauge, which seems to be the popular option. Oh and also welcome to the forum! Vijay
