Central heating problem
only the upstairs rads have thermostatic valves. Downstairs are just normal ones. Could it still be an airlock if when I opened the air vents on the rads, I get water under pressure?

Central heating problem
Hi, A friend asked me to look at his sisters heating today, the downstairs rads are not right. The two larger ones at the front (furthest from the boiler) just don't heat up and the 2 smaller ones take an age to warm up. I'm thinking both sludge and balancing as the flow pipework up to the rads gets hot but the rad just takes for ever. I tried shutting down rads and trying to force the hot water round the radiators but still so slow to heat up. Pump is already turned up to max. I wouldn't say the upstairs rads are brilliant either.......... It's a conventional system. Any ideas on things to try next? Cheers Vijay

Engine courier companies which one?
Wouldn't you just use any pallet company? I sold an engine a few years ago and the buyer sorted the pickup by a pallet company up for less than £50 (from London to Scotland). All I had to do is find the pallet and strap the engine to it securely using clingfilm and some cheap ratchet ties/clamps ;) Vijay

Random anyone ever had a slipped disc?
I believe I did a few months ago, pain like I've never felt before! Was one of the only times I've hoped there is a God and he would help me. The only way I could sleep was to wear a weight lifting belt and even then it was just bareable. I've since bought a back support made my Vulkan and swear by it and wear it when ever lifting or running now. The heat it keeps in also feels like it helps ;) As already said, it's worth trying one and see how you get on.

Pressed into service
You sure you're testing the O2 right? IIRC you hold the revs at 2k (once warmed up) and look for the O2 to bounce between lean and rich.

Another Hobbie i have
Nice. Is it just cars you've done?

Pressed into service
Pretty sure cat overheat light is down to fuel igniting in the exhaust. Make sure your PTU, coilpacks and CAS connections are nice and clean. Also take a look at your O2 sensors in case it's over fueling

anybody know 100%? gains
IIRC it's down to the better gearing so you get better acceleration from start but lose some top end speed

CTS clean-up....what a difference!
Always a good idea once in a while to do all the connectors you can get to in the engine bay with contact cleaner ;)

Off to the USA
My brother did the same and he's been in Ohio for 7-8 years. He loves it over there and said he'd never come back to England.

15 years today...............
I still look at a Z and think it's a beautiful looking car, think that's what keeps me wanting mine. Also it was one of the only cars I really enjoyed driving, never got bored of how it looked, sounded and drove ;)

15 years today...............
Long story mate but had a run of rubbish bodyshops who are still having an effect on my paintwork :(. Thankfully I now have the guys from Custom Exotics :) It's hopefully going to Jeffs real soon then back to Custom Exotics and also have the interior completely done. I'm gonna let the experts work their magic :) I'm 40 now and lets just say when I bought mine, it took me 6 months for the dealers to find one for sale. It was the first I test drove and bought it ;)

Web design and hosting
Hi, Can anyone help me on this. A close friend needs a website designed and hosted. He's using Vistaprint for cards and paperwork and they have offered him a years subscription for web (no idea on price). Should he use Vistaprint or is this something anyone does on here? How would he make sure he keeps his website and email address if he changed hosting company? Cheers Vijay
