Hi Alfie, Underneath the leather gear stick surround is a rubber boot. Make sure this is on correctly as when undone it lets noise come through. I had exactly the same problem and it turned out to be that. Vijay
  4. Cheers guys for all the comment. Andy, I just wanted to test my system. I thought the point of these are to find any small boost leaks where you might not necessarily be able to hear it with the engine running. As Stuart showed they do work as he found a split pipe. :) Vijay
  5. I mailed the guy in the states who originally came up with this idea and this is what he said about the above "No you don't need to do that. Think of how a blow by test is done. The method uses air that is shot in to each cylinder and then when no more psi can be held it escapes from the rings (simply put)". I have no idea what a blow test is:confused: Vijay
  6.   you just couldn't resist!!!!:D :D
  7. I've mailed the guy from the states who came up with this idea and he said you should be able to pump up to 20 psi, he's done so with no problems.......................................... Vijay
  8. Chreers Chris. Am I right in saying I need to remove the front bumper? Vijay
  9. Hello Steve, I thought I shouldn't up the revs till the clutch had a good few miles on it..................... Any ideas where I start looking? Vijay
  10. I've put a boost leak detector on to see if I have any leaks but it doesn't pressurize at all. I'm still getting positive boost on the car but I can't really tell if I'm hitting max boost or not cos I've just had a new clutch and flywheel put in and I'm running them in. Can anyone tell me where to start looking and if anyone knows where there is a good diagram of all the pipework so I can trace them all? Thanks Vijay

  15. cheers Stuart, I'm gonna get new tougher jubilee clips tomorrow, then give it another go. Vijay
  16. Hello Mark, I'm not trying to put you off or anything but would it not be a good idea to have the cambelt changed by someone your know and trust. I just think it's one of those major jobs that has horrible consequences if done wrong. And if he says it takes 6-7 hours, why on earth is he so cheap? Vijay
  17. Hello Stuart, How long did it take to pressurize? I tried mine this afternoon and nothing. I think it's the jubilee clips on the hard pipes as they start to loose grip when tightening........................... Vijay
  18. Hello Mark, He sounds too cheap to be honest. I thought doing a cambelt change is 4-5 hours start to finish???????????? and everywhere charges £250+............................................ Vijay
  19. Have a look at an old thread of mine: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16562&highlight=headlamp Vijay
  20. glad it's helped mate. Vijay
  21. Stillen front and a nose panel from Luke. Vijay
  22. I have the exact same problems:eek: Vijay
  23. Well that's good news I suppose, glad you're happy with it. Did you warm up the car before testing for leaks? I read that it makes it easier for air to escape out of softer rubber hoses. Vijay
  24. I think the only option in uerathane is either the Stillen or a 99 spec, everythink else is fibreglass. Vijay
  25. Hi Jim, I've got a set that I never used - £45 plus the shipping. You can fit them in with a large vice. If you need them fitted, send me the rods and I'll put them in for you (If you buy the bushes off me that is). :) Cheers Vijay
