Jesus my head is melted trying to get this zed ready. I now have in my possession 3 sets of clocks... Has anyone got a WORKING set of series one Jap clocks in the country. So far I have apent 250 sterling on 2 useless sets from the UK. One set wont work and the other turned out to be a series 2 set. Please help, before I burn the car out :headvswal:headvswal:headvswal
  3. I dont know either, I have 3 jap spec sets. 1 - the originals = broke 2 - A nismo set, these fit but wont work... seller said they were working 3 - Jap set, but wont fit, some connevtors are wrong.
  4. Does anyone have a set of TT clocks... I now have 3 sets - 2 dont work, and the 3rd has the wrong pins. I really want to get this Z back on the road, but the clocks are killing me. :headvswal
  5. Hi, On my old clock set in my 1990 Jap TT auto I had the common speedo not working/power steering problem. I got a set of 300kph nismo clocks, but when i plug them in absolutely nothing works, yet when i put in my old set, the rev counter/boost/temp all work. Anyone got any ideas on what to do next. The clocks were working when AndyZ took them out of the car he had. Cheers.

Hi Trish/Chewie - My 300zx (the red one, as I sold the grey one!) is finally out of storage and in getting some work done. Trying to get my hands on a speedo cluster at the minute, but it should be ready soon. Haven seen you since the 3 of us went to lucan ages ago. Anyway Kersh. location is Dublin, 1990 300zx TT Auto, red.
  7. Is the A/T light the same as the POWER light though
  8. What does this signify?? This is without doing an autobox diag.
  9. My 1990 has a green lit up logo, my 1991 doesnt. Both are jap autos.
  10. I just had a go at the handbrake (which nearly reaches the roof now) - Slackened off the 10mm nut on the handle, but which way do I move the star adjuster - up or down? Also, is there only one of these on each side (on the bottom)...??
  11. let me check.... wow , it is... :nana2:
  12. Ill swap them over and see... any idea what the problem might be??
  13. My grey Z is difficult to start when hot, i keep having to pump the throttle to get it going, and then it idles at 2000 for a while, and i get a lovely petrol smell - From what I can figure its the Ptu, i can put the one from my red Z in to check, but where is it??? (unless its cos of the remapped AndyP ecu that was fitted when i bought the car is it?)
  14. I just did the heater matrix, could this be related...?? Where is the sensor, and how do i check that its working?
  15. Im having trouble starting my Z. I originally thought it was a hot starting problem, but sometimes it happens when its cold. It turns for about 6 seconds then finally catches. On a hot start , when it does catch it idles at 2400, then drops slowly to 1000 or so. Any ideas??
  16. Heater works great  Where is the sender and spade connector located til I go have a look later...?
  17. Just did the heater matrix, and I noticed that the temp needle now slowly drops to zero, then back up to normal, then back down. Its totally random, and not related to engine speed, boost etc. It never reads higher than 'normal'. What is causing this...?? :(
  18. Anyone here, heading Northbound, on Sunday 26th...
  19. Driver side window wont go down. Checked the fusebox under hood, all is ok. Passenger side works fine. Any advice on where to start, to fix it , cheers.
  20. Im right behind ya Chewie - i have to do the matrixes on both my Zeds. And im not really looking forward to it at all....
  21. How much was it, delivered? Im going to attempt it with the dash in (mines an auto).
  22. Ok, im going to take the matrix out. (as per previous post about wet footwells  ) Does anyone have any guides as to 'where to start" with regards to dash removal etc? Exactly how much of the dash do i take off? Is it just under the driver side i remove or the whole stereo surround etc? And why is the matrix earthed. Thanks in advance, Kersh.
  23. Its defo coolant, but most, if not all of it, is in the driver side. Im currently bypassing the matrix in the engine, then maybe at the weekend ill have a look. Could it be hoses going to the matrix itself, or the ones from the back of the engine leaking down and into the driver footwell?? One other thing, can i block off the engine pipes rather than looping them, as they are just a bypass feed???
  24. All I can see is a silver steel crossmember thing, (number 40 stamped on it) - about 3/4 along it there is an oval hole, with a rubber pipe going through it, is it that one?
