Heavy Steering when weather wet/damp
Hi Anyone got any idea why my power steering goes heavy when the weather is wet or damp. When it happens it is for a little while, then its like a switch turning on and its fine again. Got car back 2 weeks ago from having cam belt replaced, mentioned this at the time, mechanic checked over, new PS belt, no leaks, he did say there was a little air in the system which he removed and when i picked up no problems. Now weather has changed goes heavy. Getting frustrating and have MOT next week.

n/a brake discs z32
Hi Don't take it for granted that NA discs are the same as a TT for a 1993 car. I have 1993 series 2 NA and my discs were the 26mm type which was a bit of a shock when I tried to fit new discs and pads. In the end got TT calipers to overcome it

Indicator help please
Hi Went out in car lunchtime, got caught in big downpour - not sure if a factor but I have lost the indicators on left side only, right still working fine. I have checked and as far as I can see there is only 1 fuse, that is obviously ok as right side working. Has the car got 2 flasher units? or is indicator stalk knackered? Help please as nearly had a car rear end me lunchtime Rob

Engine problem - not starting
Hi I have checked a few things over, the cam is turning over, the connections on the CAS and PTU are ok, I removed a coilpack and plug and got a good spark, there is a strong petrol smell after cranking so assume petrol is getting through. Any other ideas? Jimmer, how do you lose compression? on all 6 cylinders? They were all checked at time of cambelt change and all between 165 - 170 psi, oil and filter regularly changed etc Rob

Engine problem - not starting
Hi I have a NA and and have it for the past 6 years, this morning I started it and it fired first time as usual but cut out after 5 seconds. When I tried to restart, nothing, except for the engine turning over really quickly. I haven't had a chance to look at it but having similar problems with other cars I'm thinking cam belt issues. The cam belt was replaced, with tensioners and water pump 4 years ago and the car has only done 10000 miles since then. It was only replaced due to a bolt working loose from a pulley so decided to have the lot replaced. the mechanic said I was lucky as the bottom crankshaft pulley was missing it's woodruff key at the time of the work. He, his words, struggled to purchase one, so he manufactured one to go in. My thinking is cam belt failure or woodruff key failure. Any ideas as I am gutted at loss, however temporary of the car. :( Rob

Steering Wheel Nut Size
The nut to hold the steering wheel on is only a 12mm nut that requires a 19mm socket? I thought it was bigger than that

Hi I have a replacement steering wheel to fit but I know I haven't got a big enough socket to remove it. Can anyone tell me what size socket I need to buy? Thanks Rob

Venom LED Rear Lights
Hi Thanks for reply, does this pass MOT requirements?
-
Venom LED Rear Lights
Hi I bought 6 pot 2 piece venom rears with Hella lights from Baz off ebay but a bit confused about the lights. Not fitted yet. At present the set up is outer light red LED, inner lights are tail lights, brake lights and indicators. Are the outer LED lights daylight running lights or can they be used as the tail lights? as I would like to change the inner configuration to indicator, brake light, one side reversing the other fog. Poor Running in Rain
Just checked it out and there is water in the air filter, just amazed how it gets in that area as there doesn't seem to be any gaps but will dry it out and add some form of barrier to stop water getting in. Cheers for the advice

Poor Running in Rain
Hi It's an NA with stock bumper and nose cone, have a cone filter on it. I will check the state of it later. How do I check condition of the MAF or is it just prevent it from getting wet?
