IMHO a badly done leather install looks far far worse than a badly done carpet one. All depends which finish you prefer chosing carpet or leather, I find carpet easyer to work with personaly. Glue the top side and staple the underside for either. If you need a hand with anything Ive done lots and lots of big installs over the years and I'm only round the corner fella.
