  1. I'm too contravercial to be accepted as a mod, that and i'm not subbed lol
  2. Yeah but thats what the comitee is there for surely? If someone is clearly not doing their job they tell them. If it stays the same they lose the job. Same as any mod position I'd think?
  3. I think your a good mod and would vote for you, I would ask you have your lead put on a little tighter sometimes though ;) lol
  4. That would not work though, cos if they were a bad mod they would have far more people voting for others than them ;)
  5. Really this should be raised for the AGM
  6. Yeah but if your doing a good job as a mod you'd stay in the job by being voted back in??
  7. Dude Please drop the who Si thing, there is a far bigger issue being raised here!
  8. Ive often thought it would be a good idea that every year / other year the subbed members should vote for who they want as mods. Existing mods can run to keep their positions as well. Like voting government, change keeps people from going power crazy
  9. I know, but to be honest, until a mod steped into it the thread it was quite happy, no mood to it or problems. And that is what I'm trying to get at here. We know your (refering to all mods) a mod. We know being a **** or gogin too far will result in action being taken so why jump in every 2 min to remind us? That causes more threads to degrade into bas and deletion any anything. Just let them run and if they go bad then step in. No need to keep flexing the muscles, we all know they are there ;)
  10. Yup kinda part of the problem in my eyes but implying if you so much as mention his name your in trouble is causing far more harm and is very much un needed. Why should we not be able to talk among ourselves about someone we have known for years?
  11. I cant talk to you any more lol :hurl:
  12. Its honestly apreciated you taking the time mate :duffer:
  13. Also this thread is not Si based, he is the most recent but im trying to speak about the club as a whole not one case
  14. No it was lots and lots of stuff all brought together culminating with that one thread. Now get on topic or shut up please ;)
  15. Dont want you to go into detail of any indervidual case. I mean a brauder spectrum that trying to talk amung ourselves about a banned member is not alowed. Not asking mods or commitee just talking to each other is brushed under the carpet, thats not good.
  16. nickz32 Thanks for contributing to the thread but its gonna get closed very quickly if you keep picking fights with mods mate.
  17. But dont you think chinese whispers on here and anything trying to find out more is very quickly shut down by mods makes things worse? People are wanting to find out answers and are only being given secret and mystery and hush hush.
  18. Thanks for letting this stay Alan :)
  19. ^^^^^^^^^ Saves me having to write the same lol
  20. How long this thread will last who knows, someone get the stopwatch out  First off I would like to say this is not aimed at anyone, it is not a slanging match and would like it kept to just sensible comments and replies without it degrading into a mod slanging battle as that is far from what this thread is about. I'd like to know why we are not allowed to mention or express opinions about banned members? And I don’t mean making comment on if you feel their ban was right or wrong, just saying its a shame they are not here etc or even asking another member why they are no longer about, your jumped on by mods and told that kind of talk will get you into trouble. Now the people being banned is the committee decision and final and that’s how it is, we accept that and respect their decision, completely fare enough. But why on earth is the mere mention of any banned member’s name being treated as a hanging offence? Now we have all seen the threads being dug up recently from "the good old days" and it can’t help to make you wonder if we are being a little too moderated these days purely because they "can" moderate a thread not because it needs it. 70% of the time if a (questionable) thread if left to run its course without comments or warnings from mods they end nicely and with no need for butting in, yet recently mods are jumping in with "Any more or this that or the other and your all in the sin bin" making a thread escalate where as if they said nothing it would have gone on quite happily for another page or two and then ended on its own without bad feeling being unduly caused. Moderation is a very difficult subjective job, but is of course completely necessary, needed and even welcome. I take my hat off to those who do it as it not easy. But I really do think its time for a sit down and rethink on what really denotes a thread in need of moderation or not. I say this with the good of the club and it's existing and future member in mind not as a random rant. I hope I’ve not pissed off too many people by posting it, and that it stays open and is taken in the meaning of it being written and without reading between the lines as there is nothing to read there. Nick
  21. If you can get the car to canvey one weekend I'll be more than happy to rip the lot out and rewire it correctly mate :)
  22. Yeah you do its easy. He means the, um, you know, about the thing, that was about, that thing that was said? :wheelchair:
