Mate, do what makes you happy. If your not ready for kids and settling down and she makes you do it, you will just resent her for it. Either explane to her and if she loves you she will be ok. If not and she gets moody about it, find another woman who is wanting the same things. What she is asking for is not a holiday or something small but a lifetimes commitment, thats not a small deal. They should have handled that better, granted. BUT, you can understand them thinking a kid has nicked a mobility scooter. It’s not exactly beyond the realms of the unbelievable. Imagine if your grans scooter was nicked and the police didn't bother stopping a kid they saw riding one. What would your moan be then? Feel sorry for the law sometimes, they have to try and do a job then get shot down if they dont and get shot down if they do.

I still think its not a great idea. (the car thing, not the raising money for charity) At £15 a ticket we need 333 tickets sold just to buy the car! At this point the charity is getting nothing as all the money has gone on buying the car. My personal opinion is that we would be VERY hard pushed to sell 333 tickets in the first place let alone a shed load more so the charity actualy end up with something. Hats off to you Chris for taking the time and really wanting to make this work, but i really think with this one idea your floging a dead horse. Dont give up though, get on the drawing board and keep at it untill you find one idea that does the club and most importantly the charity a lot of good. This is only my opinions and would be nice to see what others in the club think? Why the hell is this thread so quiet???????

Chris was saying that the car then gets raffeld at JAE and on Ebay. Would only make 3k at the most doing that though. So thats 2k that could go to charity thats already been raised thats wasted.
