Thinking of getting myself one, quite like the look of the Yamaha Raptor 700R, the unfortunate thing is I cant afford it, so im looking at an older one, possibly a Raptor 660. Anyone got any constructive advise? Thinking of using it on and off road, so I think it would be a good piece of kit.

Wrap insulation tape around it before cutting??

Do you have stock air filter, or induction kit? If you have induction kit, which one?? That could be your fault in wet weather.

I know Haulfrauds do proper heat resistant caliper paint.

As above, wouldn't use a flush in any engine with hydraulic lifters, you'll never drain it all out!! Diesel oil is a good idea, but a flush with cheap oil would be sufficient, just make sure the engine, and the oil in it, is piping hot before you drain it.
