Road Tax.....How Much???!!!
Yeah, a firm letter might carry a litle more weight. A guy on Surrey Scoobies said they have probably obtaines the CO2 fifure from the MOT when it was SVA'd. I still don't know how this can be right. Its one rule for one and something else for everyone else. How disorganised!!!!

Road Tax.....How Much???!!!
Just an update and the next few lines should really test out the swear filters! The DVLA are a thieving bunch of ******s and can ******* suck my big fat man vegetable! Now thats over I called the DVLA earlier ragarding my OTT demand for Road Tax and incredibly enough got thorugh to someone within two minutes! It would appear that for some reason those lovely Welsh people at the DVLA have managed to obtains the CO2 figure for my car and have therefore based my road tax on it despite the fact that normaly I should only be paying tax baed on engine capacity! I asked if I could appeal this and he said "no, not really".:headvswal Now that sounds very unfair to me. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Yeah right!:xxx:

Road Tax.....How Much???!!!
I think road tax should be put on fuel instead. That way the more you drive the more you pay. I leave the Scooby off the road at home most days so why should I pay loads to tax it!

Road Tax.....How Much???!!!
Thats what I did but was fed up of having two cars and I just could not bring myself to leave the Zed at home all the time. Thats why I thought I would by something practical and cheaper to run without losing any of the performance, hence my Scooby STI version 6. Mangaged 230 miles out of a 65 litre tank the other day. What was I thinking! LOL

Road Tax.....How Much???!!!
Have just done that and it came up the with the same £300 rubbish. It is all wrong on their systems so will have to pay them and vist and get this sorted. This Scooby seems to be every bit as costly as the Zed if not worse! LOL

Road Tax.....How Much???!!!
The confusion is probably coming from the fact that my car was actually registered in June of this year. I certainly dont want to be having to pay out £300 per year!

Road Tax.....How Much???!!!
Just had my renewal through for the Scooby and I cannot believe my eyes. £300 for 12 months! My car is a 99 so should not have the tax calculated on Co2 however thats exactly what those tossers at the DVLA have done. I know it states thats cars registered after 2000 or something are subject to the amount of Co2 produced although I have always assumed this was only relevent to UK domestic market cars. I wonder if they have now extended this rule to ANY car registered after 2000 now? If this is the case then most of our cars will be paying far more for road tax from now on. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with road tax recently?

My ski apartment is ready to rent at last!
Hi Chris, Matt was a little wrong there. It is exactly a 10 mins walk to the Gondola and ski school office although the ski schools all meet for lessons at the top of the Gondola. The Top Lodge complex does have its own private shuttle bus that will take you to the Gondola. It is not known if this will be free yet but worst case will cost you 3 euros return and will take you right outside the Gondola station and bring you back at the end of the day. It is only a very short stroll to all the apres ski action so on the whole is pretty well situated. You can give me a buzz on 07801537881 if you would like to talk to me in person about it. Justin:)

My ski apartment is ready to rent at last!
Hi all, If anyone fancies a cheap ski holiday then I am looking to rent out my brand new rooftop ski apartment in the resort of Bansko, Bulgaria. The ski season there starts around mid December and ends Mid April. The snow is in the mountains already so its looking good for the season! Its all finished to a very high standard with loads of facilities. It sleeps 4 however there is plenty of floor space for a blow up mattress if a couple more of your group don't mind roughing it a bit! All the info is available at the link below: http://www.balkan-pms.com/propMoreDesc.asp?id=115 For those of you living around London Easyjet have just started operating a route from Gatwick to Sofia with flights starting at under £50 return! Your then looking at no more than £20 each return for a transfer to take you to the resort so all in you will be looking at an extremely good value ski holiday! Any takers? Justin:)
