  5. will the car sound the same with the new exhaust richard, i liked the sound of the old one it was very distinctive, ps you dont happen to have a tt petrol pump on the donor car:D
  6. jeez gaz, thats some imagination
  7. that woman is one of my heroes
  8. not your not the bad guy at all, quite the oppposite as we are all glad its gone to a good home, keep in touch on here especially in the irl forum,
  9. im gutted and glad at the same time, gutted you had to sell her, but glad you got a decent price and its gone to someone who likes zs im really hoping it wont be too long before you get one again, because the z scene over here wont be the same without you and sure we:ll still have our bacardi conversations
  10. its now a definite no, it will be interesting to see what happens next, will they try kick us out, or at the very least punish us somehow, i wouldnt mind up till now we have been good little europeans and taken everything up the a.. that europe has sent us, but this was a step too far, we were to accept a treaty that was jst a lot of amendments to all previous treaties and even our politicians admitted to they couldnt understand:headvswal
  11. ireland had a vote yesterday to ratify the lisbon treaty, we were the only country of the 27 member countries of the eu to put the vote to the people all others countries their governments decided to say yes, the reason we had a vote is because it was very strongly written into our entry to the eu back in 1973 that ALL changes to our constitution had to voted on by the irish people the reasons we seemed to say no were the treaty was too vague on things like conscription, euthanasia, abortion, nuetrality, taxes, and in general taking a lot of power from individual govenments and giving it to brussels the result is not official yet, but i wonder what will happen now as the treaty needs a yes from all countries to proceed, im listening that your government is going to say yes next week, but in 18 months if the conservatives get in they will pull out
  12. happy birthday andy, have a good one,
  13. the car has been going great , but yesterday just after i got some petrol it started missing and chugging a bit i thought maybe bad petrol; this morning i started the car got out of it as i was letting it warm up before i drove it, as i walked past the rear wheel drivers side i heard a whirring noise, got down to listen the noise lasted a few seconds, stopped for about 30 secs then started again this happened about 6/7 times then the noise stopped altogether. the car was ticking over fine i drove to work, car drove fine this was 9am came out of work at 7pm it wouldnt start turning over fine, battery fine, alarm fine, would you think fuel pump is gone, or what else should i be checking tomorrow
  14. thanks guys, i really enjoyed the day, @gary" launch control" i dont think so mine is a standard z with 134,000miles on the clock @dave guess which r33gtr i beat, in fairness he seemed to be having a problem launching, i think he was listening to too many people saying watch the revs and launch at 5000 and look at your gauges etc, when they ask me me how i launch i say i watch the lights, when they go green be on the clutch and then right foot to the floor
  15. i decided to enter the drag racing at the meet in bishopscourt today, their timing equiptment was not working properly and everyone only got one run timed mine was supposedly 16.32 HOWEVER in the 4 runs i did all against skylines, (2 r32 gtst, i r34 gtst, and 1 r33gtr) over the 1/4 mile i beat them all by a good bit, not bad for an old granny and her 17 year old z, im so fooking happy:hyper:
  16. just home from a great day out, long drive up but worth it to meet another z owner, nice to meet you gary, and your son, and your car is a lovely clean example, and as for those wheels with the little jewels i want a set, they are so unusual i even have a matching necklace, what was the name of them again? you know you have started on the rocky road spending money on the z, lights, spoiler and all the other bits you have planned great to meet toker(andy)as well, to put a face to the name, if you had kept a z i would not have beaten you in the drag race, although i think you will be be back in ownership of one sooner rather than later, how did your friend do in his runs, the timing was a joke in all fairness, however i enjoyed the day
  17. little bump there is a convoy from sxoc and soc leaving kfc blanchardstown at 9.30 am sharp sun morning, total distance from there approx 150kms look forward to meeting you gary and toker
  18. happy birthday little princess,
  19. thanks cathy for posting up the details on here, so cmon guys this event is being featured by the BBC NI, next sunday, hoping for 1 or 2 more z owners
  20. just found out they will be on a club stand DTDIRL (stands for drag, track, drift, ireland) they should have a banner, my sons name is gordon, and my daughter is aoife(prounced eefaa) so if you happen to see the stand dont be shy go over and say hello
  21. happy birthday hope your having a good one
  22. thanks for that pete i neglected to say that i am buying without tyres, the guy selling was using 265/35 but suggested i go 40 as the 35 gave a bit of an uncomfortable ride, i will contact him later about offset etc
  23.:rofl::rofl: i never liked those fellas that pull out at the last minute:x: gives me flash backs to the 70s
  24. its the road tax over here thats a killer, the z is nearly 1,400euro per year, i also have a 91 camry diesel estate which runs on fresh air almost, tax on that is almost 1,000 euro a year but i now really only afford to tax 1 of them at a time which defeats the purpose of having the z as a weekend car, atm the z is taxed for may, june, july, and the camry off the road, after 1st july over here any car over 1.6ltr brought into the country 2nd hand will be 2,000euro tax or higher based on emmissions
  25. i have a photoshop pic of these new wheels in my pm folder how do i get it out of there to post it onto this thread
