At least you dont have a GTO Richard, btw was great to meet TIZER again, anyone remember him Steve with the lovely marble paint work Z, back in the day he used to give Jason a run for his money. Actually Steve was the first member I met after I joined, I had a cracked Compomotive wheel, and he was a truck driver who came to Ireland weekly, following a post on here I met him on a motorway he took my wheel to the Compomotive factory, and then collected it repaired foc 3 weeks later and brought it back to me in Ireland, Legend.
  2. Drowning my troubles tonight people, 2 days before JAE my partner Bill was diagnosed with cancer, of course I did not want to go, but the measure of the man he is, ,he insisted, he even packed my bags. He was never going it was a girlie weekend. Those who met him at the LakeZ run will tell you what a great fella he is, he would have to be to handle me. Despite having been married for 27 years I was always really on my own, and besides my ex Bill is the only other man I have dated. So next week he goes in to have half his lung removed, nearly 20 years since he gave up smoking!!!, I am positive but its still a big operation. Also on Monday I go in to have an angiogram and possibly some stents fitted. I also knew this last week. So a shit week next week really. I dont normally put this stuff up here but feeling a bit sorry for myself tonight
  3. was great to meet TIZER at JAE, what a nice guy Steve is
  4. If it helps at all Paul, you are not in the Irish Region, however with 4 members in this region, on the map we are "Its Complicated" we are open to poaching members from any other region. We cannot offer meets however if anyone ever makes it to our region we will fill them full of drink and chat/good company.
  5. Over here Jay you will, find its a bit of jealousy especially if a young guy has one plus with Nissans the Skyline is the popular one here
  6. Great!!! Thanks all for the feed back on my observations, however I am now wondering what was going on, when there were mulpile heads under bonnets, people on their hunkers, and heads stuck in and asses sticking out of interiors. I am over it:biggrin:
  7. Ok Guys, following JAE last weekend, this is more an observation but the answers will interest me I have owned and driven a Z for 12 years, I don't profess to know a lot about cars but on the other hand I know enough, and am always willing to talk and learn more especially about Zs. Over the weekend not one And I mean nobody asked me about my car or expressed any comment on it good bad or indifferent. I could have discussed my lightened flywheel, my upgraded clutch, my new exhaust made up of a copy of a Mines system at the front a d Trust back boxes and pipes, my Defi recording box, my Veilside Andrews wheels, how the SWB is so much different car to drive compared to 2+2. I know I was having fun and a few drinks but I like to show off and talk about my car just like all owners. Liz had the same observation.
  8. Happy Birthday Lee have a good one

I reckon what Ronaldas said about numbers is correct, although the 25 were not there for the entire weekend, some were just day visitors. With the ones who were not on the Club stand, a couple were with traders stand, some wanted to be with their local/mixed model club, and unfortunately for whatever reasons some choose to stay well away from us - - - Updated - - - I reckon what Ronaldas said about numbers is correct, although the 25 were not there for the entire weekend, some were just day visitors.
