Buddy the burnt smell will most likely the smoke (fumes) coming from the small breather pipe on top of the box :( The oil cooler will just do the oil for the box. Easy to fit ;) . Still sounds like your clutches burning out (soz). Take it steady :eek: . The indicators come from Amber performance but other traders do them on here. I bought them b4 i joined the site.

matey, my steering went heavy and speedo went and was the speed sensor on the gearbox!

I have just put this on roosters thread. I had the same problem with my box. It would run for a few miles then nothing. Im affraid the news might be bad! As was said previously the filter could be blocked because your clutch set may have burnt out. Does your oil smell burnt and is the colour red or blackish. The burnt smell and black colour means the end of the box. Then again i have known people to just service the box and clean out the filter and ey presto!!! As i say im no expert but can only tell you of my experiance of my failing "boxes", yes thats right 2 of them!!. As i said in Roosters thread, if its an import get an oil cooler on. Rooster buddy, is your auto an import?? If so get an oil cooler on buddy. I learnt this lesson well! Everyone advised me to get a cooler on my import and i thought i knew better so i went and bought a spoiler etc.... then poop. All went tits up and no gear box. If you havent serviced it, do so. Does the oil smell burnt??

Theres a wire to go to the switch. I think the reason for this is so the timer can sense if you have the handbrake on or off. Must be some sort of inhibitor on the timer. All its doing is sensing the 12v supply to the handbrake light on your dash. I just cannot see any wire for the handbrake switch anywere. Suppose i could take it to the back of the bulb but thats more dismantling for one fookin wire :mad:

Just a quick one. Can anyone out there assist in telling me where the handbrake switch is on my Jap Auto. I've took the centre vent panel off then the gear lever surround panel off. I've got to that point. How much further do i have to go. All im trying to do, is fit a turbo timer in and put the hand brake wire on from the Apexi timer to the switch. A 10 min job is turning into 10 hours (again :mad: )
