Buddy, if the oil smell burnt it usually means a rebuild. What happens is that the clutch plates burn out and the debris get into the main filter etc and reduces the oil flow. The best bet if you are changing the oil is to take the bottom pan off and take the main filter off to see if there is any residue there. Bits in the bottom of the pan is also likely clutch. Somtimes you have a drain plug and somtomes not so you have to extract the oil via the dip stick tube. Hope this helps bud. Good luck!!

Had this happen to me a few years back. One minute it would work then nothing. Smelt the oil to find it was burnt. Was the clutch pack gone. Put an oil cooler on if you have to change the box cus the same thing will happen over again(overheat, and burn out). The origonal way for cooling the oil is shat cus it does it via a heat exchanger method in the radiator.Bloody silly if you ask me when the car is such a hot running beast.Good luck. I always wait for my oil pressure to go down to about the 4 mark on the guage. Then take a trip to the garage to fill up again ffs!!

I went and bought a thick felt from my local car motor factors and put it all round the rear, including the spare wheel compatrment and it works wonders. It was the first thing i did because of the noise of the wet on the road. Only cost 20 quid!!

Matey, had the same prob myself. What i did was WD40 the hinges and put some Grease on the main catch. Just applyed when ness!!

I had a TCR set and it was called ' The Zig-Zag Raceway' . a corvett Stingray would go from left to right and you would have to try and pass it!! Fookin good fun!
