I wasnt going fast....... it was a clumbsy mistake...... i know these cars can bite you in the ass, i know this as ive had a few lucky moments already, just pissed of that it was such a slow mistake. the wishbone must have been weak to be able to bend at that speed. but hay more excuse more overhaul. il know not to make that mistake again.

Damn unlucky if ya ask me, i almot cryed, and another piss take was that i went to get a price for tracking at some other place which was 10 quid more, so instead of saving money i should of just let them do it:( but noooooooooooo i though id save 10 quid and drive to the other place :(

about 10 mph maybe less, the tracking place was on the other side of the road i was doing a u turn...............PISSED, so instead of getting the tracking done as there would be no point i just went home :(

yeah i spoke to that lot and i have to send the wheel up to them.... im sure it will be ok. should be able to fix it..... but about a price...... hmmmm im sooooo pissed off how can i be so dumb.... just fitted a new inner hicas bush and now thats bent, i literally fit it today then drove the car to get the tracking....... then bye bye.... ahhhh

Ok im going to honest..... its screwed, i skidded the back into a kurb and the wheel is fubard and the rear left wishbone is bent the track rod end is bend also, im not so botherd about the suspension bits as i was planning an overhaul anyway. just worried about the wheel and if i can get another like it? or maybe it can be repaired??? il get a picture now.

AAAHHHH I just kurbed one of my wheels very badly. the rim is bent slighty can it be fixed or do i have to buy a new one? if it can be repaired who can do it? its a rays engineering volks wheel 17 inch. im so upset as i just bought them :(

Ok following my previous thread about my deting problem ive been told the cas needs adjusting with a timing strobe light. Is there anyone out there who is near north london who could help? or can i take it to a local garage???

how can i set the pre ignition timing correctly so it doesnt det?

good luck mate with the rebuild. i think im guna go outside and screw my valve all the way out. youve scared me. one question, why did you let it run that high? surely you must have realised it was too high?

We all do it ;) its cheaper too.

trust me some of the det noises my z has made were loud, proper crackling, eletric, destruction lemme make a hole in your piston kinda noise. :) suprised it hasnt blown yet. im just guna have to set it lower for now but its no fun. but hay either is forking out 3k for a rebuild.

i bet you were sitting in the car pretending you were speeding down an empty country lane replicating the meaty 3 litre v6 engine noise with your lips, the wind blowing over the t-top just touching the top of your ears, as you make your way up the gears sweeping thru the twisties, "Dinners Ready" "coming dear" you stumble out of the car and your raging hardon smashes the petrol catch.... ooops.

it detted just once? did u keep thrashing it? didnt you realise it was detting? think im lucky its very cold outside or id be in the same situation.... :(

I used 1mm mig tips a while back and had the solenoids connected and it would just revert to safe boost after a couple bursts. how can i check the advance timing? conzult or something? also good boost gauge present.

fuel filter changed and yes i always chuck in some injector cleaner thats become a habit. I think im quite good at listening out for det once i hear it i let of the pedal. but im sure i was running more boost at one stage seems that i cant run as much now, car feels slow. :( i also reconnected the actuator solenoids to see the diference, and i was getting some funny business, think it was spike, but then he boost would rise again then decrease strange. with the actuator solenoids connected shouldnt it return to safe mode if it dets?

Wheres a good RR around north london that wont cost an arm and a leg? Anyone got any details?
