  4. Hi Matt! Been running my swb TT for a few months now. No problems so far - everything under the bonnet is the same as the lwb, so servicing is just as 'easy'!! Obviously from there on back things get a little different, but when it comes to panels and some other things, mjpauto sell them for the same sort of price you can get bits for the 2+2. Then, of course, us 2 seaters get to look better, drive faster and get more responsive, albeit more twitchy, handling!! Everyone should have one! No......wait a minute, then we wouldn't look so good!! Enjoy it mate! Simon
  5. Cheers Jon! Sounds quite violent, but I'm sure it's nothing that me and my mate Mr. Sledgehammer can't handle!! U get any problems with the emissions at M.o.t. time? Simon
  6. Howdy-dudeys! I've got a short-wheelbase TT and am thinking that it would be rather nice to release those extra horses tied up in the cats! My question is, who out there has done this? Have you had any problems, e.g. with emissions in the m.o.t.? Is this a simple enough operation that any, ahh...hem, monkey exhaust outlet can do, or is it best to take it to someone who has experience with this kinda thing? Cheers! P.s. And just what is everyone doing out there on the net at this time of night??!! Surely there's some bar out there calling your name?! I'm stuck at work till 11.30 - that's my excuse!! And I'll stick with it! The fact I've got no mates.......!!
  7. Cheers guys! I think I'll head in to Halfords and purchase myself a couple of their finest for now and then upgrade to one of Smithys kits when they need a changin' next time! Now, is it going to be more embarrasing if they think I own a Toyota Hilux or, if they know that my supercar has Toyota Hilux filters as an upgrade?!!
  8. Christ! It's almost like you've been looking through my shopping bag!
  9. Yep! I'd have to agree with that. Certainly don't see the point in forking out an extra 40quid plus each year when I could have some reusables. That's an extra 40 quid of Optimax and 100 miles!
  10. Thanks for the welcome! I've got a couple of bank jobs lined up, so hopefully budget mode will soon be vanquished! Just need to get the getaway car sorted!
  11. Howdy chaps and chappesses! First thread here form a new bloke on the block (although I have spied on the forum for a few months now!). A question for the more experienced z-ers out there - especially those of you who are lucky enough to have fitted one of these high quality pieces of tatt that S.E. have the balls to call an induction kit! I bought my z32 a few months ago with this thing already attached (just getting my excuse in for having it!) and the beautiful red paper filters a dirty brown colour. I phoned S.E. for a price on a couple of new ones and they're 17.95 each. Does anyone know if there are any cheaper suitable ones around? Or preferably, if there are any reusable foam upgrades which will fit this kit? Of course, the ideal alternative would be to send the whole kit on a long holiday to the landfill site and get a proper kit installed, but I'm currently in 'budget' mode!! Cheers, Simon
