  1. Why are you trying to install a program in to your "My Documents" directory? Try installing it to another directory. Also try copying just that file on another computer. it is possible the disc is broken on the sector the file is held.
  2. He didnt state whether the printer upstairs is connected to a printer. If it is the easiest way is to share the printer as normal, then browse to the computer on the network, right click on the printer and select connect. If he has Windows XP installed it should also automatically show up in his printers.
  3. But this depends on whether his Lazerjet has an ethernet controller onboard, which I dont think they do, and I dont think it was an option either. I think it was LTP or serial only. The only one I could find which would be useful was the one listed below in the link http://www.dsl-warehouse.co.uk/product.asp?pr=PPSX1 It has a LTP port on too, as most print servers has just got USB ports, as this has been the norm for printers for the past 3-4 years or so. According to Linksys' website it is wireless but only with a certain make of Linksys note book wireless card, im not quite sure as their description is a little confusing.. Why it is like this I dont know. It is possible you can plug the server into a wireless router and that will sort it out. It will probably be a good idea to actually ring Linksys and get some answers from them direct.
  4. Apparently what it installs is a program called spyfalcon which is a spy scanning program which reports you have viruses and spyware which you dont have. Apparently it pops up from the task bar that you have a virus when infact you dont. Its just trying to get you to buy the product. The link below will show you how to get rid of it. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic43659.html I am really sorry this has happened, but there is nothing much more I can do to stop this from happening. I have upto date virus checker which I pay for, firewall, router and I change the messenger password every month or so. I learned my lesson from the chernobyl virus years ago, which broke my motherboard and graphics card. I have no idea how it was sent from my address. There is a possibility that it was hacked from Microsoft hotmail servers. The email has been sent from an IP address in America. This is where the email was sent from, unfortuantly under my name and to all the contacts in my messenger list. Back to the point, I have read the instructions and even gone through them myself. The instructions are good and easy to follow, even for a novice. Only point I would add, to the instructions is, to boot into safe mode, reboot your computer. WHen you get the screen with the memory check and such (POST screen) keep pressing F8 every half second or so. After the computer has done its checks and just before the windows loading screen appears you will get a menu. Select SAFE MODE the press enter.
  5. been busy. Not got the Z on the road. I will come muscrat, but i seem to be on night shift every time its on. :(

  7. Hi people. Long time no see. If you have an email from me, dont load the link. I did not send the email and the time it was said to be send I was out playing snooker and my computer was off. There is a posibility that the account has been hacked. I am emailing Microsoft to see if they can check some logs.
  8. Didnt take it as you taking the piss mate dont worry.
  9. Blown an oil seal I think. Not so much a broken engine just pissing oil out the back when I floor it, but it still managed to get over 30mpg when driving to london just before I took it off the road. I think its one of those problems where its probably 1 little thing which has gone wrong.
  10. He is too busy and has a broken engine. Hehehehe I still come on here, but not as much as normal. Not seen much of the north west let at Warrington meeting too. I have been working nights when its on. :( I think im off next time. I will be on more when my Z is back up and running, I have just lost a bit of interest with the car being off road for another 6 months. I hope everyone is well
  11. Passage from the budget release "Vehicle excise duty (VED) To further strengthen environmental incentives, the Government announces the introduction of a new higher band of Graduated VED (band G) for the most polluting new vehicles (those above 225g of CO2 per kilometre) registered after 22 March 2006, set at £210 for petrol cars, and the reduction of the VED rates for small number if cars with the very lowest carbon emission (band A) to £0 to assist the development of the low carbon car market." Taken from http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/budget/budget_06/press_notices/bud_bud06_press02.cfm
  12. Looking into it about a few years ago, you can get a airfield/track at grimsby (lots of run off and was very much more a track than an airfield day) for about £3000, marshalled and with St John's there. I think you can have up to 40 cars there.
  13. you can down load SP2 from the microsoft web site. You can update it too. Firstly fail the genuine test. When you have failed. Click on Tools in the menu bar of IE. Then Select Manage Add-ons Then in the window which has opened, select, "Add-ons which have been used by Internet Explorer" in the combo box at the top. In the bottom part of the window you will see a list of add-ons which is installed into IE. Scroll down and find one which says something like "Windows Authentication" or "Windows genuine authentication" or a long those lines. When you have found it, click on it and then select "Disable" at the bottom part of the window then OK. Close IE then open it and run windows updates.
  14. I use azerus too. Have got downloads of over 200kbs

Fuel pump ECU? The fuel pump just works at 2 levels. On and off.
  19. reading that it sounds more like structure of the car. Alterned body panels to me is not structure.
  20. As for the oil pressure. get an aftermarket dial and most of them the sender will fit in the stock place. Just remove the stock one as it has little use anyway. Oil pump is right behind the crank pulley. Im not too sure what work will need to be done, to do it with the engine in.
  21. Yes you are right. chaning the oil pump is 11 out of 10.
  22. Personally I prefer PC. People are giong on about HD graphcis while PC have been doing higher than HD quality graphics for years. Plus I dont want to pay £50 per game which it costs for an XBOX 360 game at the moment
  23. There are also some windscreens which dont allow the satellite signal to get through. I know some pug windscreens do this, as my dash GPS wont work in my pug. Its not that they made it so it wouldnt, it has some VU protection or something in the windscreen and the side effect of this is the the GPS signals are also blocked.
  24. wash it when you have finished washing your car
