Right, before anyone takes this thread the wrong way (and I'm sure some will around here :rolleyes: ) I was NOT sugesting that Luke stole the idea, I was trying to get my facts straight, before I made an arse of myself with this other guy. And anyway, I've got the answer that I was looking for, so I've closed this thread, before it gets out of hand. EDIT** I would have closed it, but the option seems to have been removed :confused:

I've got ROXIO, and it takes fookin ages to encode and burn a full movie (NO I'm not talking PORN ;) ) I'm running a Celeron 2.7, and it takes about5 hours to complete a DVD!

Yep used the same wide angle LEDs aswell, no patchy bits, they are dimable, and you can see the red needles very clearly!!!

Well I've got a constant rubbing squeel when it's moving, a loud squeel when you brake AND the creaking!!!! So when the money becomes available (hopefully bloody soon) then I'm changing all the brake pads, discs, hoses and fluid, and give the calipers a damn good service!! That should sort it :D

And i thought it was just my monitor!! :D Nope, they give off a very good light, even on dim, not as bright as the side pods, but then you don't want that sort of brightness right in your face. The red needles show up fine, not hot spots either. I used THESE in the end. They seem to give a more even light, saves on the glue gun technique as well.

Haven't got around to it yet ;), been too busy with my dash LED's :D I must have a look at it tomorrow morning.

Not brilliant photos, but you can see the difference, first one is with the dimmer on full, the second one is with the dimmer on it's lowest..... Sorry for the crap quality, these were taken on my phone :rolleyes: Full 'How-To' with better pics coming soon. :D

Right, LED's turned up this morning in the post, and I've put them in. I've taken a few pics of what to take off to get the dash out etc, and will post a how-to later. As for how bright they are and whether you can or can not see the needles I'll post tonight after it's dark and I've got back from work. EDIT*** There are 6 501 bulbs on the rear of the dash, and not 5 as I put on the post above on this thread :headvswal , but the two that you don't want to change are the charge (as I put originally) and the 'Low Fuel' as these both want to remain clear, to show through the appropriote filters.

Thanks guys :bow: Yeah, i know it's a Ford, but then it gets me to work and back cheaper than the Zed does :D The battery is virtually brand new (only a couple of months old) so the alternater sounds interesting. As far as I can tell, the 1.8 and 1.6 are virtually the same engine and mechanicals/electricals, so i'll look into the ECU (was thinking along this line) I'll give the idle control valve a looking at too :bow: :bow:
